unless you play in the hl room they are limiting your booze type like no grey goose or good wine, or good top shelf, u will need to either buy it and charge it to your room and have comped at the back end or have a host comp u at the table even if you playingg 5 k a hand on the main floor they wount do it anymore.new rules from upper management.

now if you go to the hl room and go to bar even if they know you they wont give you a free drink either unless your at a table playing they need a host approval or you must pay and you still get better booze but they are limitting what it is.:wink2::thumbsdown:

I think he's saying they are limiting top shelf booze to the High Limit room gamblers. You can still get a vodka drink, it just won't be Grey Goose.

Nightmare? Free booze is never a nightmare.

Parx is PA is similar. But higher level players can get top shelf booze and bottle beers. Lower levels get well booze and cups of beer.

I had a friend out at MB for a conference a week ago and he was have the same difficulties Paperposter was talking about. Typically, he stays at Aria but the conference was at MB. He was playing black chips out on the floor but he was having difficulty getting Makers Mark. It pissed him off.

Hmmm. Strip hotels = 6:5 blackjack, resort fees on comps, downgraded players clubs, and no decent liquor for the majority of players. Remind me again what's so great about staying on the Strip. I forget what makes it so good.

Not defending the properties, but in fairness there are a lot of people out there who throw $20 in a machine or play minimum wagers at a table and think they're entitled to anything they want. I have a couple friends like that, I don't like going to vegas with them because if they don't get treated like a king on their bankroll of a few hundred bucks a day, they feel like they aren't getting their just desserts.

So what are the options? The properties either police and babysit players, which pisses everyone off, or you adopt an across-the-board policy which requires less oversight, less man hours and is ultimately more efficient. It might inconvenience a few players, but honestly if I am getting my drink more quickly because I'm not waiting for a dozen very specific specialty drink orders, I'm going to be happy.

Wow, this sounds like fantastic news for the downtown casinos. MGM must really think their gamblers are going to stay loyal no matter how much they sh@t on them.
Sorry those Aria and Bellagio rooms aren't nice enough to pay for something I view as already built into your casino odds. I hope people start voting with their feet.

I agree with you. I'm a low roller and vegas treats me really well... but part of that has to do with my low expectations and understanding the system. When I go with certain friends or family, they are totally unrealistic and think if they put a dollar in the machine it entitles them to something, or should get the same perks I do when I spend a lot more and I'm loyal to a casino. I have friends who don't gamble and will sit beside me just to sneak the free drinks and complain about tipping.

Coming from Belgium, I really don't understand why almost everybody is immediately complaining when something is changing. You all sound like the belgian workers unions. Whenever there is A necessary change in something they had in the past, they threaten the whole country with strikes. They always say they want to cooperate to makes Some changes, only the changes cannot involve something they had in the past. The only change they accept, is getting something extra on top of what they have...

Here you have to pay if you want a drink in a casino like in most places in the world. In vegas you Will still receive your free booze, which is what most people want. IT may not be topshelf, but its still free...

Personally I don't understand why they don't take it a step further. Everybody can get A playerscard. And it isn't that diffucult to implement a system into the card that would give you a free drink if you have gambled a certain amount. And for a premium drink you'll need a bigger credit. A bit like the vp machines in certain bars, but i don't understand why they have to spoil all these paper tickets for A drink while it can be on A card that every serious player already has. Next to your EC's, you can have your DC's ( drink credits). Like this nobody can take advantage of the system and all the players that actually deserve free drink comps, Will get them.

    My 2 cents...

This sucks balls. I understand not having top shelf at the lower casinos. But aria and bellagio and mgm sigh. Definitely cutting back on my trips and $
Amount. Have some nice trips coming up with plenty of food n bev comps. After that meh.
