I am flying to LV by myself a few days before Christmas. Wife has some women family members coming the week before Christmas, and I don't want to be around, be a fifth wheel etc. Any suggestions for a man coming by himself to have a good time? I am staying at Caesars. And when I say a "good time" I am faithful to my wife, I will be bringing back a nice Christmas present for her to. Just not sure what to do by myself, besides gamble and people watch. Thanks !!

What sort of things do you enjoy doing?

Gambling and people watching are some of my favorite things to do while out there.

You can also check out a show(Cirque show, comedy show, concert, etc), get a rental car and venture off strip to check out Red Rock Canyon, Mt Charleston, go hiking. There are numerous spots you can go hiking if you are inclined, one of my favorites is the Gold Strike Canyon near Hoover Dam.

Are you up for renting a car? Sometimes I just like to drive around when I am there. Sometimes there is a destination like Hoover Dam that turns into a scenic drive and sometimes I just like to hit the road for a while.

    Eat good food.
    Drink.
    Play golf.
    Spa.
    Go for a hike.
Get your shop on if that's your kind of thing.
    Just wander around the Strip.

    Have fun!

You might consider reading through some of the "solo" trip reports for some ideas. Most of all, RELAX! Have fun and good luck.

Arcades, movies, bowling, golf, food, museums, shopping, firing range, stripclubs, hiking, motorcycle or exotic car rental, massage(therapeutic, thai, foot or other), dam tours, etc. most activities you might want to do are probably available in Las Vegas.

Organize your ideal one man bachelor party: be it go carts, biking through red rock and a vegan supper, or machine guns, cigars, steaks and craft beer sampling "treat yo' self"

I find it's beneficial for me to make some kind of rough plan ahead of time otherwise I tend to gamble and drink too much. Due to the drinking I try to do my activities away from the casino early in the day

Since you are staying at Caesars maybe one day venture North and explore all the Hotel/casinos there. Then another day venture South, though I must say venturing South is better in terms of exploring, more to see and do.

Rent a car for a day or two and visit the local casinos like Sunset, Silverton, Green Valley Ranch on the Henderson side and then Suncoast, and Red Rock on the Summerlin side.

From Caesars catch the shuttle to the Orleans/Gold Coast. While visiting Gold Coast walk over to visit the Rio and Palms. Then catch the shuttle back to Orleans and catch a movie.

Make a visit to Downtown, preferably in the evening, stand outside under the Canopy and people watch. Enjoy the free bands that play on stages between 4 Queens and the D, across the GN and Binions, and at the end of the Canopy across the Plaza. Freemont East also has many bars you can hang out in and there is the Container Park.

Spend a day looking for that special gift to give to your beloved wife.

My last few trips were solo and I enjoyed myself. I visited the container park and Fremont st (spent a night downtown), rented a car and did a trip to the valley of fire and then drove a back road to the dam, stopped and seen some sites. Took thousands of photos and of course gambled a little each day. Saw a show and just watched people.

Watch your back at all times to be on the safe side esp if drinking...Tell any 'too'friendly people your wife or buddy is 'around' here if they ask..Just throwing this out there as I see this will be just your second trip...Use that room safe also to stash the CC's and bankroll and make sure the door is shut behind you at all times...
Don't want to come across as your Mom or anything but it's Vegas 101.. Have a fantastic time !!
