Eating suggestions for a group of 12 around Bally's

So there will be 12 of us staying at Bally's at the end of Jan. Half of us will be on a limited budget. Those would be the 26-28 year olds. Walking will be our money saving mode of travel so I was thinking of something not very pricey but not taco bell. Maybe a noodle #9. Any other suggestions.

The Miracle Mile mall inside Planet Hollywood has a ton of options. Definitely recommend Earl of Sandwich in Planet Hollywood's itself. I love Carnegie Deli in the Mirage. Sandwiches are huge where 2 can split a sandwich easily.

I enjoyed Diablo's Cantina at Monte Carlo. Double Barrel Roadhouse is there also.

Margaritaville is a fun spot for a group.

The Burger place in the walkway between Paris and Ballys is good for a high end burger.

The Fulton Street food court at Harrahs has some nice choices for a decent price.

For more traditional cheaper eats on the area, just past Harrahs is a McDonalds, Panda Express and Chipotle. At Ballys there is a Jonny Rockets, a pizza place and some other things. I'll leave the viability of those places up to you.

Just an fyi, most places with a waiter, will run you about $20 at the minimum per person and that without drinks. Its hard to find a Burger/Sandwich on the strip from a restaurant for under $15 before tax and tip. Also most restaurants/casino bars will charge $6 for a bud, coors, etc. more for a mixed drink.

 

The Brazilian Steakhouse in the Miracle Mile is a pretty fantastic deal for lunch. You get most of the same things they service for dinner, but $20 cheaper. And it's still all one can consume.

 

Gordon Ramsey's BurGR at PH is reasonable - I treated a party of 10 there last May and it didn't break the bank... the Farm Burger was one of the best I ever had.... make sure you have your CET card, you'll get a discount

 

I second this suggestion. Good food and beer, and they a ton of appetizers options for anyone who wants to spend a little less by just getting an app.

So we have decided to do the 24 hour buffet for the first day. A quick order of the better ones other then CP because of the extra money. I think Paris, PH, then I'm not sure. We will buy them late in order to use them for 2 dinners.

 

Anybody know how late the TR booth say open in the hotels? 10pm?

 

Each hotel is different. Bally's closes earlier than Paris's, for instance. I did a quick search and couldn't find it. Bally's was closed by 8:00 or 9:00 last time I was there--Paris was open until 11:00? Midnight? Planet Hollywood's, I'm guessing, keeps fairly late hours as well. Sorry I can't be more specific.

 

Don't forget a block behind Bally's is Ellis Island.... they have a pizza place, BBQ joint, 24 hr coffee shop, and their own microbrewery. Prices are VERY reasonable (bordering on cheap) in the coffee shop. Easily get chicken fried with eggs potatoes toast and coffee for about $10.

 

So I was out numbered so instead of 2 dinners and one breakfast for the 24 hour they want it 2 breakfast and 1 dinner. Go figure. They also want PH and Paris so breakfast doesn't matter but which one for dinner?

 

OMG, a couple of my daughters friends that are going asked about what kind of show are at the buffets. AYK! I think this will be a more heavy drinking few days in Vegas.

I was faced with somewhat similar demographics in October. Our children and nephews joined us in Vegas, for the 3rd time in 4 years, so 8/10 people to feed (on a couple of occasions).
1 - Take the Coast shuttle from Ceasars - Shops to Gold coast buffet (since you aren't driving). http://www.goldcoastcasino.com/dine/ports-o-call-buffet $7.99 per lunch and while its not Bachannal its good food and fresh. Note in October there were buy 1 get 1 buffet coups for free on line. Feed 12 people for under $100.00.

currently offering Spice market buffet plus unlimited champagne, wine etc for 2 for $49.00 (saves almost $40.00 off regular rate), Great if you have drinkers in your group (and what 26 year old doesn't drink??). Similar deal at Flamingo buffet. Also (and we did this) Surf and turf for 2 at Pampas grill for $56.00 (normally $88.00). Comes with 2 specialty drinks and dessert. WE do 2 coups for 4 (dinner for 4 cost $89.00 - saved $53.00 and sent the kids on their merry way to eat (when they wanted too) and 1 coup for dinner for 2 ( for the wife and I). We went at a different time than the kids but everyone leaves the endless meats buffet stuffed! Also we tried the Ketchup Premium Burger bar at the Miracle Mile shop ($20.00 of food for $11.00). Surprisingly good milkshakes and burgers (wife had a hot dog and fries). Located right off the garage escalators in back of the Miracle Mile shops. May have spent $13 total for $24.00 worth of eats. Also bought some $15 for $20 Johnny rockets coupons and just gave them to the kids to use when they were hungry (ditto with Ketchup Premium burger bar coups)

3 - LVA MRB ( Las vegas advisor Member rewards book - http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/whyjoin-mrbdetails.cfm?CFID=135154057&CFTOKEN=83802056 ). This year it costs us about $30.00. Inside are at least 30 food coups i.e. buy 1 get 1 burger at Burger Brasserrie, save up to $50.00 (50% off) at any restaurant ( we did the buffet Sunday brunch came to $140 for 10 people then they took $50.00 off). Mimosas, crab legs, omelets etc for $9.00 a person!! That 1 coupon pays for the entire book. We also did the Mirage buffet "Cravings" buy 1 get 1 free and some others. Tons of other match -play coupons, entertainment etc too! { NOTE : I'm not shilling for LVA, just sharing some inexpensive food options]
