    ive said for a long time 1 oak suxs , dont go. well woudnt be surprised after new years if its gone and they remake it into something new,

    wounder who picks up the place to run and own it,mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    This has been rumored for a while, and is entirely unsurprising. 1OAK was always a weird one to me, because my understanding was that it was owned and managed by Light Group, and they were basically just licensing the name from Butter Group (as opposed to the LA and DF locations, which I think Butter Group owns outright). It made sense when 1OAK was one of the top clubs in NYC, but the name just doesn't have the same cachet anymore, so it's not worth paying licensing fees, and they'd probably be better served by developing their own new property.

    yes to licensing fee also it became to urban and has relied and celebutards to get people to go in the a big fail.,it really after the first few months never took off anywere. if fact its kinda of dangerous.

    but light group is now hakkasan so we shall see what happens

    I didn't have a problem with 1OAK either. It was just a smaller venue.
