I have some friends who are coming into town and they are low rollers, but they want to experience Vegas and get comps and stuff. But unlike me, they really don't care where they stay. can anyone recommend some lower end properties that would be much better at catering to low rollers? ($5 table games? super cheap nights? etc) I don't really know what to tell them because I tend to stay at the mid level properties and dont know much about the ultra cheap places to stay (rooms jut gotta be clean)

Strip, off strip, DT? Easiest way to check the prices is just enter the dates into Expedia. Vegas casinos prices flair wildly depending on occupancy, events etc. What is cheapest this week may not be the next week. Vegas has its own way of doing things.

I think Luxor Excalibur have good black Friday deals that are worth checking out. If you go downtown, Las Vegas advisorhas a two-for-one offer for the plaza. They can also get a two-for-one Deal from EL Cortez from the ACG of it's a midweek stay. The D might also be a good option. They've given me OK offers after minimal play.

probably DT, we have looked on expedia and stuff but are the kind of people who always been direct because might get comped with play (might, depends on level of play, rooms in those places are an easy comp) I guess it makes since that stuff would flair wildly with prices depending on whats going on.

I get the book direct part and agree. Expedia is just a way to check the pricing and then go to the casinos website and book through them. It's obviously crazy time consuming to check each casinos website and invariably you will always forget one or two.

Cheapest ones downtown without resort fee are MSS, Fremont, Cal, 4Queens. ElCortez $10 RF. Depends when going. Rates can vary widely depending on what is going on

I don't think cheap and easy exists on the Strip since Casino Royale stopped combing rooms. If you want your play to be noticed for future offers the Boyd properties are pretty easy, especially Orleans. To get some room comp on one trip I would say Four Queens or The D downtown. If you are late night partiers I would definitely try downtown, table minimums on the Strip tend to rise at night.

I think El Cortez was still in the 2015 ACG, they are absent from 2016. Their half price Flame restaurant coupon, formerly Roberta's, was a main driver in the decision to buy that book. Never used to need the two for one room coupon, but it is now gone.

Probably thinking about the 2001 books, I like staying alive but hate that everything insists on changing.

The coupon is NOT a BOGO, it is Buy 2 Nights and Get A Third Night Free, that reduces its value greatly.
The best deal right now is the Plaza BOGO for up to 6 nights and according to the reservations clerk I talked to the total price for December 15 and 16 would be $49.28 including all taxes and resort fees.

Yep. Your right, ACG is by2 2 get 1 , I did get a BOGO at MSS but that was a different past deal(cost $33 for 2 nights). Plaza deal is cheapest, since it appears resort fee is comped on 2nd night.

I have stayed in a couple Super 8 motels where the room rate was about $40/night on the weekend with no resort fee. But that only works if you have your own transportation because the locations are not conveniently close to the casino action. There is also a Travelodge on Koval where rates are comparable.
