    Hi,

I'm staying few days at Linq and one night at Monte Carlo. Did read many bad reviews for Monte Carlo Rooms condition.

All rooms are in a bad condition? Or did they start with remodeling the rooms and it could be possible for me to get a remodeled room if I will ask for them?

Was there this year and its a place to sleep, not fancy by any stretch. Of the hotels on the strip, this is one where you don't want a suite. We always get a suite comped and their suites have doors leading right out into the floor lobby where the elevators are. It can get quite noisy on weekend nights.

If It's a MyVegas reward then it's a decent enough room. If you are paying for it then go elsewhere. I had a good time while there, happy with the service and the view, as long as I didn't look down...LOL

    It's a little dingy and worn. I wouldn't pay more than $60 a night. (On a Saturday)

I don't think the rooms were ever updated since opening. They were lovely when they opened but even assuming they've gotten proper TLC over the years, they would have to feel pretty dated.

Thanks that you share your experiences with me. No updated rooms yet. I'm sad, but it will be just for one night.

We stayed there in April...as a Marriott guy, it's best comparison would be like a Residence Inn (comfort-wise, not implying large rooms) - pretty basic, comfortable, but not worth paying big money for. The beds are not as nice as the Mirage. Good luck!

We stayed at the Monte Carlo back in mid-May. The room was okay, but like others have said, it's a place to sleep, shower and not much more. When you compare it to other properties we have stayed at since then (NYNY, Caesars and Aria in Jan) it definitely was in the rear of the pack. I know there are rumors circulating of a refresh of the Monte Carlo (and I have even heard a potential re-branding). I have to say from a room perspective, it is time. The casino was fun and the service was good so for one night, I think you will be fine. The location can't be beat.

I stay at the MC often on wintertime visits (MGM or ARIA in summer for the better pools) and have no real issues. Decor in the rooms is outdated and sometimes worn but room has always been clean, beds comfy, and staff is always friendly. Can't beat the location either. Sambalatte - best coffee spot on the strip is attached which is an added bonus.

We stayed there last December on a MyVegas reward in a Monaco Suite (thank you $20 sandwich). Besides being a outdated and a bit worn, it worked perfect for us. Yes, it was located right outside of the elevator lobby but we never ran into any noise problems. Wife liked having the second bathroom and the extra space in the room. The staff was friendly which we always appreciate. Didn't spend a ton of time in the room, but it served its purpose fine.

I stayed at MC in a regular room this past Sunday to Tuesday. The main wear and tear items were the wallpaper coming apart at the seams, a filthy air vent (aren't they all) and persistent gurgling noises in the sink. The furniture was pretty worn, but not to a ridiculous level. It was $32 a night through Mlife, and the room itself is perfectly fine. The shower was clean and the linens were nice and crisp. For the price, I think it's still a top value.

Stayed there a few times, the most recent was last spring.

The rooms are basic, but OK. Furniture, carpet and wallpaper has wear. Bathroom is motel-like, but functional. It's fine for the price.

The thing that really annoyed me was housekeeping. First day, room wasn't cleaned until after 4:30 pm. Second day, housekeeping never showed up. Third day, room was serviced by 2 pm, but there were bags of dirty sheets left in the halls all night.

If you don't care about location, there are cheaper places with better service, but the location is great and the price is good for the location.

Stayed at the MC last week. The room condition was fine. Did not see any signs that the room remodel project has started yet. IIRC the room remodel project will start next summer.

As for the room condition comments, I'm sure the same folks would say the my home needs to be remodeled.

I'm a big MC fan but there regular rooms (anything not on 32) are in dire need of renovation. I will say also that Hotel32 (top floor of MC) are showing some wear, but nothing like there regular rooms.

Funny you mentioned that about the housekeeping. I've noticed the late housekeeping in multiple MGM resorts in the last year. We stayed in an suite at the MGM last summer and for 4 days in a row, service on the room was not done until after 4;30 PM. Even after I complained to management on the first day.
