If referring to $5 24 hour pass, it is specific for locals. $8 for tourists. People have used the $5, but there is the chance you will be ask for ID to prove resident. Dewey (the bus guru) says this is not usually the case, but you are gambling for the $3 savings. All passes are good on any bus, both residential and strip.

    Thanks for the tip.
Do I ask the driver for an $8 all day if I am on the WAX or 201 or do i need to get the pass on the Deuce?

    Thanks Again

Thanks for everyone for the help.
I've been to Vegas lots of times before but it has always been with my Wife and the last few years my two boys have tagged along for a Karate Tournament in the Orleans (It was a perfect excuse to get back to vegas albeit with kids).
Anyway, this trip is solo (i have to keep pinching myself on this one, my wife must have been having an off day when she gave me the green light!!) so I plan on taking public transport because the last few years although it was easier for all of use to ride in a cab, the fares did add up all over the place.

I reckon if I get an $8 24 hour pass I can get (1) The WAX to North Premium Outlets and Back (Staying at the MGM) and the next morning get the (2) 201 to the Orleans were I have 2 nights comped.
Saving me quite a sum compared to Cabs
