    My Trip Report

This is my first TR in all these years, hope to keep it interesting for you. Just a short solo trip for a seminar at the TI. Will be business during day but some poker, craps and popping my VP cherry this time. VMB has inspired me to give it a try. Never been a big machine games player.

I'm more of a low-roller so no whale type stories for you...but will update as much as I can.

Taking off in a bit at 7:15am, flying from Tampa through Chicago. Arrive in Vegas at 12:30pm, gambling by 2 hopefully!

    Cheers....

Take a minute and watch this...my favorite Vegas movie clip from one of my favorite movies. Always have to watch this to get in the 'mood' headed to Vegas. It's hilarious and we all were there at some point in our trips to the mother land!

    enjoy!!
I'm definitely a low roller and not really a fan of machine games (don't get slots!), but we had a lot of fun playing video poker. $20 goes a long way.
I got a royal flush at the bar in TI in August, so hopefully you'll get one too! As long as you know the basic strategy you'll be good!

We also liked to play the video poker that differentiated between JOB and 2 pairs, as we found we got 2 pairs pretty regularly and at time we were playing the tables where you got the same returns as JOB. I also liked the tables that differentiated between the four of a kinds e.g. four 5's thru kings. I'm sure someone will correct me on the correct name, but I think it may have been Bonus Poker.

(Our trip report is here if you want a quick low-roller read! https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?123916-18-25-August-Vdara-low-rolling-and-beer)

Those fifties will not make it to the tables...I promise! Will break them down before. Will never buy in with one of those god awful things!

Make sure and get rid of those $50's as soon as possible. Always been unlucky for me every time then end up in my bankroll.

That was the absolute fastest check in I've ever had in Vegas. Walk right up, no line. Didn't do the $20 trick because I'm solo and I don't really care about my room. Still tipped the guy a $5 spot at end of check in for good karma.

Taxi was $20 plus $5 tip, no tunnel. From time he dropped me off, to check in and registered for my players club card it had to be less than 20-25 min.

Went by poker room...1 table going, not enough entries to tourney to make it worthwhile. Going to recharge in room for a few then down to tables.

    Some pics:

The room is nice....nicer than mirage rooms I had just a couple years ago. Not a bad view, 19th floor.

Low rolling at O'Sheas $5 craps. Buy in for $100 out for $40.

First time seeing Linq..,didn't really like it...

$5 craps at O'Sheas and casino royale. $10 everywhere else I've seen on strip (TI, mirage, harrahs.)
