Greetings from North Carolina!

Greetings fellow VMBers!

I've been on this forum for a few months now and this is my first post to introduce myself.

I've especially been enjoying all the Trip Reports from fellow degenerates and visitors who seem to appreciate the best parts of Vegas like my wife and I do!

We usually try to go a few times a year and eat at the great restaurants, see a couple of shows, gamble a bit, and of course shop! (at least she does... I just carry her bags and attempt to win more shopping money...)

We are going to be in town for our 3rd anniversary in November (18-23) and to see Celine Dion perform at Caesars.

Being in the hospitality industry, I have a unique outlook on the restaurant / club scene and I'm very interested in not only the menu / goof quality but the service and back of house operations as well. I have definitely incorporated a number of concepts / ideas from Vegas restaurants in my restaurants and will continue to do so.

I believe in spending our hard earned money on *experiences* as the memories last a lifetime! We always have such a memorable vacation in Vegas and hope it continues!

As far as the gambling side goes, I've been 3-0 the last few times, and I think it's mainly because i no longer chase losses (as hard as it can be sometimes - just one bet can get me even...). And I have just been playing hit and run with short short sessions like $100 here and $200 there and the next thing you know, those small wins add up!

We can't wait to return in a couple of weeks, and if there will be any members here that will also be around, let's get together and celebrate!

Welcome to the board! Look forward to your TR and hope you all have a really great time! If your parents live in Toronto...have you ever been to the Beaches Jazz Festival that is held there every July? My brother in law is the creative director of the festival for 15-20 years....

It's been awhile since I've lived in TO but I might have to check out the festival sometime!

Looking forward to your tr in a couple weeks. I too look at restaurants, clubs and service differently as I was in the restaurant/hospitality business for 17 years. Have a great time and enjoy Las Vegas! Hope to meet one day.
