    My Trip Report

    Hello all.

Back for trip #6 this year. It began with a Buckeyes championship trip with family in January. Another trip in February after missing flights for a solo trip to PHX, super spontaneous. Annual May trip with old college friends. Semi-annual solo July trip. Spontaneous September trip with a college friend from overseas who managed some time off and convinced me to go. This is my 3rd? annual Halloween trip which I've always loved.

I've had a down year in gambling, despite 3 royals. This will be lower rolling, trying to stick to a new rule of no high volatility VP. Only 25c single line. Low limit craps. Low limit sports bets.

My to-do list is a little more unique than other trips and features a number of things:

    Accomodations:
    - 4 night comp at the D
    - 2 night comp at Flamingo in a Studio? room. May request a GO based on bad reviews of these.
    - 2 night comp at DT Grand based on first ever mailer from them.

    "Comps":
    - Freeplay at D, GG, DTG, 4Q
    - Promo chips at Nugget
    - D Matchplay
    - Food comps at D, GG and DTG

    1) Rideshare
Will try to spend first trip EVER not using a LV taxi. I've used Uber 100 times in other major cities, this will by my first time using Lyft.

    2) Plaza Promo
$500 on us type promo where a host on this board says you can redeem freeplay at decent paytable VP bartops now. I'll have to make sure I'm not already in their system but I believe I am not.

    3) Two nights of Trey Anastasio Band at the Brooklyn Bowl
Saw Umphrey's McGee here in May and wow, what an AWESOME venue. Many bars, awesome balcony, re-entry at setbreak, great sound. A year ago my Halloween trip involved seeing Phish at the MGM.. this will pale a bit, but Trey's band still rocks. Super excited.

    4) Food
End a streak of trips where I eat solely as a quick fix to enable more drinking. Use my comps to try the D cafe, Adriamo's a 2nd time, Dupar's (which I can't believe I put off so long), maybe Hash House on my strip days. Also the pizza place at 4Q (Chicago Brew Co?). Long past due trying that one.

    5) Status
Earn my last 46 TCs to be DIamond with CET for the year. This will be done at TAG bar most likely. Will report back to Trig the abomination of the new paytables. Not your father's rootbeer a goal to try, the rest if up for suggestion.

Other than this, a lot is wide open. Will bet on the World Series games, NFL and NCAA FB, NHL, maybe NBA.

Try a bloody Caeser first time. Love bloody Mary's.

Will buy my Dad a Pats conference and superbowl champs sports ticket like last year. Completely forgot I did this for this birthday in early Novemeber until at the end of the Superbowl he texted me the pic of it. Won 5-1 I think?

Some inspirational pics to get me going after a number of losing trips lately. This will be the turnaround.

One more long 13 hour work day then it's off on the super early 7am departure from FLL to land 930a LV time. Go time baby.

From the title, thought you were really degen'ing with a 2 week trip! Lol

Good luck! I'm hoping that TAG pic on Untappd I found was a fluke on the paytable! And if not, hopefully the all star IIs haven't been messed with. [emoji120]

For uber just be patient, Las Vegas locals that drive for uber don't know where a damn thing is. Luckily the gps tells them where to go. But I still had a lady confused about Golden Gate vs Golden Nugget. Other time it took forever for someone to show up at Palazzo.

Other than that good luck. I enjoy the picture heavy TRs.

Geez, I just realized we were out there in July together (knew that) but also in Jan! Sadly I will be using my kid to collect free candy this weekend.

    Have a great trip!

Ha. Far from it. About to take off.

Ever feel like world is conspiring against you? Drive down to FLL is smooth and traffic free... until the off ramp to the airport exit from the freeway. Huge accident, 4 lanes closed, traffic diverted to shoulder. Took 20 minutes to make it that last mile.

Then I always valet my car. Valet signs show all valets are closed. Never seen this before. So now 20 minutes to boarding I need to self park. Found a spot relatively quick thank God.

Taking off from the new sterile terminal 4.

Last but not least! Approach my gate as zone 2 already boarding. Catch my earbud cable on something as I go to sit down and snappp.

Ask flight attendant. No headphones for free or for sale. I'm SOL. Hope I can sleep through this 5 hours as I had my phone loaded with podcasts and iPad loaded with TV. Bahhhhhhhhhhh.

Guess all the run-bad is out of my system.

Sorry about the headphones. You may want to consider carrying a throwdown pair (or two). My fear is that this will happen to me and I'll feel obliged to actually talk to someone...

At least keep the headphones in your ears so nobody tries to talk to you. [emoji6]
