I have had an offer of free night with free play from Cosmo, unfortunately I had set dates and I couldn't use my free nights but wondered if I can still use the free play

if the offer's not good for your dates, that would include the FP as well.

but you could always talk to a host or marketing about getting the FP on your current trip.

Offers with rooms are given for one reason. They know that if you are staying in their hotel, there is a good chance you will gamble in their casino. And, you will leave some money there.

As to using offers on different dates, maybe, maybe not.

By the way, the way I read your post is that you want to go there and use freeplay, but not stay there? Confusing.

Cosmopolitan will indeed give you your free play without you staying there unlike M-Life, Wynn and Grazie. However they will only give it to you if your Cosmo offer falls within the dates you are asking for your free play.

Ok I am staying at the Cosmo, but I already had my stay booked when my offer came through and the hotel is fully booked so they wouldn't let me rebooked the same dates using the offer

Unless they have changed their policy recently about the free play you should be able to still get it even though you are not booked under your offer that had the free play. Let us know when you return from your trip how it worked out. Have fun and good luck!

So I can use my free play at Cosmo even thou I'll be staying at a different resort this spring as long as it's within the dates of the marketing offer ? If yes, does that adversely affect my host at the Cosmo in any way as it relates to bonus, pay, etc. ? She's been very good to me and I don't want to do anything that would cause her a problem.

As of August Cosmopolitan would give you the free play in your offer even without using the comped nights. When I used my free play, I stayed and played for a few hours and it didn't effect my offers after that. I'm sure it triggers a visit and might effect your future marketing offers if you just use your free play and then leave. Shouldn't effect your host adversely as she is not comping anything off for you, however I'm guessing so best to ask your host.

I stayed at the Cosmo in June using an offer that included freeplay.
I then left Vegas for a week during which time I got an email from Cosmo for the exact same offer, when I returned to Vegas I stayed at Bellagio but went to Cosmo to use the freeplay.
It was no problem at all, the Identity desk lady said freeplay can be used without a stay but if Iater wanted to book the offer of 4 nights comped, the freeplay component would not be available unless I had a fresh offer.
