My wife and I will be in Vegas for the third week of October, staying at the Cromwell. Every trip, we try to hit somewhere new off-strip and out of downtown. We've been to Palace Station, Green Valley Ranch, Gold Coast, Palms, Boulder Station, South Point, and the Westin, but we're looking for a recommendation for what's next. Thinking of Orleans, Red Rock, or Eastside Cannery as options.

We love to play craps, so somewhere the craps pit is fun place to play is a plus. Anyone have a favorite off-strip place to play/visit?

Can't go wrong with Red Rock, Orleans and I noticed you didn't mention Sam's Town. It's also a fun place.

Red Rock is gorgeous and a ton of fun. Eastside Cannery is very nice as well. If you happen to venture out towards Boulder we have had some phenomenal times at Sunset Station! Hit my first and only Royal there!

If you have never been.. Hard Rock is a nice property. Not sure about the craps table but I always enjoy the music throughout the casino and usually take time to eat a meal there every trip.

I have to agree on Red Rock, it's a lovely and beautiful casino!

I also like Suncoast a lot, it's really close to Red Rock. Rampart is also close. You can visit Red Rock, Rampart and Suncoast in one trip.
From Red Rock to Suncoast via Rampart is a 15 minute drive.

I would do Red Rock and combine it with a trip to Red Rock Canyon. As Lin suggested, you could easily add the Rampart and Suncoast casinos to your list.

Red Rock is great, so is GVR (but I see you've already stayed there). I stayed at Orleans for part of my last trip in September but while I like playing there I didn't really like staying there.

I used to love going to Red Rock Canyon in the morning for a few hours and then hit Red Rock Casino for some lunch and other fun stuff.
The Canyon and Casino was one of the major highlights of my Vegas trips.
Only about 20 miles from the Strip but in another world as far as the Canyon, and the Casino and property is gorgeous.

I really like Hard Rock for dinner and some gambling+drinks, their Culinary Dropout restaurant in particular. They've live music several nights a week.

Combine that with a quick ride over to Orleans for the "serious" gambling later in the night :drunk:

I think Red Rock and M Resort would be good selections considering where you are staying. If you want the complete opposite, try Eastside Cannery.

I normally stay at The Orleans and love it! Wife and I usually always hit Sam's Town, Sunset Station and Ellis Island (for the beer).

From your past stays I think you will like Red Rock the best. Orleans comes in second.

Agree w/ Joe. Red Rock for very-nice off-strip locale, next door to Summerlin for shopping, food , etc. Orleans , great affordable choice, hat is off-strip, but alot closer to Strip should the mood strike you.
