    My Trip Report

I have been playing a lot at my local casinos in Southern California...almost every day for the past 2 weeks. During this time, I have been on a decent heater on slots and VP. I have mostly been going to Pechanga and Harrah's SoCal, but one of my friends has been constantly texting me pics of his handpays and Instagram handpays from his favorite local...San Manuel. This casino is near the bottom of my locals list, as it is too congested, too smokey, and minimal amenities. They recently transformed their HL room into an "Asian Gaming Room", which contains Asian themed slots and Baccarat. The old HL room was moved to a new area, and includes various HL slots, BJ, and a new bar. Now, since I am a sucker for going where the action is, I just had to see if I could grab a piece of the supposedly loose slots at San Manuel.

    How did my endeavor go?

Within the first half hour, I was down about $1000, trying various slots. Loose my ass!

I then decided I would just seek out some STP and play that, make some money, and call it a day. I found a bank of Action Poker machines that had 3/5/10 play STP at .25, .50, and $1 denominations. I started with 5-play at the $1 denom. While I was not connecting with any of the multipliers, I was getting a good number of quads. My $300 investment grew to over $1000. At this point I decided to get a little greedy.

    $5 denomination 3-play STP.

I went to the high limit room where they have an STP machine that has $5 and $10 denom, at triple play and 5-play. I decided to give 3-play a shot with my $1000 TITO, at $90 per round. Sadly, I lost that TITO with quickness and I can't even remember if ever got a multiplier during that quickness. I feed some more ammo into the machine, and after some play, I finally hit a handpay.

While I was waiting for the handpay, I kept playing and the machine went dead cold. I lost the rest of my credits and fed more ammo. By the time the handpay came, I had already fed the machine that much more and then some. Now, I was starting to hit tilt stage and just kept feeding the machine, praying for something and praying for something with a multiplier, to get me back to even...lol. After taking notice that my bankroll was getting thin, I realized I was down about $6000...damn! It's only been about an hour and a half! I make the decision to go back out and play on a lower denom.

    5-play $1 STP

I go back out to the Action Poker machines and play on a machine at the end. I start getting frequent quads again, but still no multipliers when needed! Arggggg! I get dealt 3 aces so many times, but they never convert to quads. I keep getting dealt 4 to a flush, with a middle pair, which I have forgotten the proper strategy for. I ended up flip-flopping, sometimes saving the flush cards and sometimes the pair. No matter which way I went...it failed. Finally, I get a break...

    Dealt 4 Aces!

There is no multiplier...damnit! It's okay though, I can still get a kicker, right? Hell no!

Oh well...$4000...that's still good and it cuts my loss by more than half! I end up playing down the remainder of the credits on that machine, while waiting for the handpay. Do I go home, or do I try to get back to even?

    Get back to even!

After getting paid, I move to the other end of the bank and feed $300 into the machine. After some back and forth, and more quads, and still no multipliers when needed, i finally get a break!

    Multiplier with ace-rags!

I held the lone Ace and catch a miracle draw...quads! With a multiplier!

    Where's my kicker!?

Well, that last handpay ended up recovering my losses and then some. Now with my tilt subsided, I decide to wrap it up. I hit a few slots on the way out, and felt so lucky to have turned a $6k loss into a $1600 win!

Temptation is high, for me to hit Pechanga tonight...lol!

but in my defense?...I was pretty drunk that night

doing that sober is seriously "on Tilt"

Thank you for posting this! I have always wanted to stop in here on my way to LA on the 10. Please do trip reports of all the So Cal Indian Casinos you hit. Pechanga is my lucky spot. Sometimes I wonder why I don't just go there instead of Vegas. But it's just not Vegas.

I'll have to say, VP saved me 2 days in a row from slot losses. I made a smaller comeback last night at another local.

Oh yes...I have a couple juicy slot HPs from Pechanga, over the past couple weeks.

    $20k - only cost me $200
    [IMG]

$35k - put in a $200 TITO and hit on first spin. I blew that progressive out of the water...lol. Only the bottom corners were not filled...could have been $50k.
