Just got back from a fairly short trip to Vegas. Spent 2 nights comped at the Orleans and 1 night at the Mirage. Had a larger gambling budget than usual and, as best I can tell, played between $2000 and $2500 a day through a mix of slots, video poker and video keno machines. I can usually count on what I would call a generic offer twice a year from the Orleans for 2 free weekday nights and a $10 food credit which is why I've stayed there like 10 times. Have never stayed (or played much) at any MLife property. Any idea what sort of offers I should expect? Will my Orleans offers get better? Not expecting free rooms at the Mirage but is it reasonable to expect pretty good room offers? Thanks in advance.
I am emerald with Boyd, to answer your question, it depends how much more you play? I still only get offers via the bconnected website, of 3 nights and some food credit, but I,m just back from a trip where I had 5 nights in a 1 Br suite with full RFB all comped through my host. It all depends on your play at the end of the day.
Coin in on vp will be the determining factor. If you did coin in of $2000 you probably won't get much. You will get some discounts but I wouldn't expect a whole lot in terms of a comp room.
Cant remember my exact coin in, and cant get into Bconnected at work Grrrrrr, was there for 5 nights, my points earned playing $1 VP but some play from .25 -$2 VP also and my better half playing slots (on my card) mostly pennies but at max bet most of the time, average bet was probably between $5-8 per spin. I,ll take a stab at $10,000-15,000/day coin in, maybe even more, its not long in racking up at those stakes!
I'm confused. Your original post said you spent two nights at Orleans and one at Mirage, but now you state you spent 5 nights at a Boyd property and earned 100k points.
This wasn't the OP's comment. I was confused as well, had to go look myself. To answer the OP's question, it sounds like you have a fairly established relationship with Orleans, staying 2x a year on consistent offers. In my experience it can take a bit more than one trip to drastically change your offers significantly (this is both a + and a -). If your play was larger than typical,, I'd expect maybe an extra night or small amount of free play with your next offer, but I wouldn't expect great offers immediately. At the same time, I have absolutely no experience with Orleans, and I do expect they're a bit more aggressive with some of the extras. Mlife is tough to read for me. We are VP loyalists and spend most of our time there, with CET thrown in. To give you context, my life and I play a few minutes in every casino on the strip every trip (we dedicate a day to walking the whole thing). Aside from that, that's about all the time we spend in MGM properties (with a few exceptions). Its nothing against the properties, they're generally gorgeous, we just get better offers elsewhere. That small amount of play gets us basic marketing offers from the low-mid tier MGM properties. Just got one via email a couple days ago from Mirage for rooms from $20ish/night, or few weeks ago from Excal for a 2 night stay. It sounds like you did significantly more play than we do, so I'd expect a basic offer for a comp room maybe....maybe?
