I can't speak to the golf questions, but the Suncoast is a nice casino. The rooms are large. The rooms I've had there have all had a separate seating area (aka a suite). Some have views of the golf course, other rooms don't have much of a view.

The casino has good VP pay tables throughout, including 9/6 DDB at the bars at the quarter level and up. You'll find $5 DD BJ at many tables. Craps is good too (can't remember if it is 10x or 20x odds).

There is a movie theatre too.

Never stayed there but Suncoast casino is very nice. Several nice golf courses right near there. All the Vegas courses rent clubs.

We've stayed at Suncoast several times and when we lived in Vegas it was our favorite locals place. As mentioned good VP, movie theater, bowling alley upstairs and liquor store. Also a very nice, paved walking trail that you can access right off on the Suncoast parking lot.

Our last time there, my back wasn't too good, so my wife just walked across the street to Angel Park, rented clubs and played their par 3, 12 hole course. The interesting thing is that each hole is supposed to replicate a famous (infamous) hole on the PGA tour. They also have two 18s.

My wife liked the Ping clubs she rented so much, we came home and she bought a set.

Imo, you can't go wrong with a stay at SC. Also, 5 or 6 restaurants on site. We've eaten at the Italian and Mexican. Both were very good.

    Suncoast:

The good: Large room, newly redecorated this year (2015). Refrigerator. Great bathroom. Two sinks, roomy bathtub/shower combination (no jets unless it's a suite).

Good casino with 8/5 bonus poker. No full pay deuces wild. Good VP progressives can get very high.

Excellent steakhouse with a 4:00pm happy hour with reduced prices on drinks and appetizers. Friendly staff. We do this every trip. Salvatore's is also excellent with great Italian food and live entertainment.

The bad: Buffet is very good, but beware the staff - they will give your table away to another party before you are done. Do not leave the table empty to get your dessert. One of you should always sit and guard it from the overly zealous staff.

The good again: Coffee shop is great. Low prices, daily specials. Also, a good deli too.

The gift shop has very, very reasonable prices on liquor.

You really, really do want a golf view room. You could also get a pool view at the same time, but not all golf view rooms overlook the pool.

Always, always check the casino kioske for comps and point multipliers. Near the end of your stay, you can ask the front desk to ask a host if any of your bill can be comped off.

Red Rock casino is nearby, but is not walkable. So is the Rampart. There is a Target store nearby, too.

Although there is an airport and strip shuttle, we always rent a car.

Which course(s)? Angel Park is right there. Good facility overall, fun kicking it around the wedge course particularly the holes that are lighted at night. Big practice facility. Nice views particularly on Mountain, which I prefer. Out the other side it is Badlands. Time and tide have not done her proud, however, even if it does have some of Vegas' most fun-dastardly holes. I imagine like everything else in Vegas if you're more of a roller than a plinker they might be offering TPC. The public venue (Las Vegas) is the best of the at-hand courses up that way. Or are they leaving it open with a Bear's Best or Paiute, perhaps?

All courses rent clubs, per others' comments, and carts always are included.

We've spent a bit of time at Suncoast over the years. It's fine for a mid-market locals' place, with big rooms and some good mid-range eats, notably the steak joint.
