Planet Hollywood V Paris

Give me the long and short of it.... My brother in law is trying to pick between the two. I stayed at Pairs but never PHO. He said he does not like the Paris Casino so I recommended PHO just on that but he would like some information. How are PHO rooms compared to paris?

 

We usually stay at either of those. One think I like more about PH is that the bathrooms in the room, the commode is in it's own room. Makes things more private!

 

The regular Planet Hollywood rooms are smaller with small windows, hence less light during the daytime. All their rooms have a movie theme to them with props, photos, and posters from the movie, but they could use an upgrade. The casino is more lively with classic pop/rock music during the day and Pleasure Pit activity with pit dancers after 8:00PM. The music gets louder with contemporary pop/dance music. Caters more to the younger crowd. The rooms above the pool can get quite loud with the music they play during the day.

Paris has the Party Pit which is like the Pleasure Pit at PH, but it doesn't seem to have the same vibe. For a more conservative atmosphere I like the Paris casino. Paris of course has the French theme, and their rooms have a little more style to them. The upgraded Red Rooms aren't rundown like the Blue Rooms which probably need an upgrade.

Both are in ideal locations across the street from Bellagio, so the Strip-facing rooms have a view of the fountain. Since I don't know what your BIL does not like about the Paris casino, I don't know what might be more suited to his taste.

 

THe point of the PH bathrooms have already been covered, its a nice feature if you are staying with someone. The PH casino is much more loud and lively, if you don't like loud music you may be uncomfortable. PH has the mall attached with lots of food, drink and entertainment options. Paris has some really good dining options.

 

More that he couldn't hit anything the one time he was there.. I will be at Cosmo so I hope he picks PHO as it is closer to me....

So regular room Paris vs PHO, PHO it sounds like?

 

I gamble quite a bit at both places. PH is my 'home' casino usually. I have had bigger wins at Paris on their slots. I really just don't like the casino layout at Paris..feels very willy nilly to me (although I'm sure many feel that way about PH as well). From my perspective, it's much easier to get turned around in Paris and they don't seem to have as many of the slot machines that I like than PH does. The crowd at Paris feels older as well... I'm in my late 30's.

PH is more lively as others have said, just feels more welcoming to me and the attached mall and ease of access to Cosmo especially is a bit win.

Last pet peeve about Paris. Their slot machine chairs are terrible. I think they're literally the least comfortable chairs I've ever sat in, in Vegas and I've been to pretty much every casino.

Won't cover rooms since that's already been covered. Paris basic rooms are a little larger though in size.

 

Yeah, I tend to judge casinos I like or not that way too.

Hahaha I suppose I should but then I would never like any casino! I just look at them the same and judge em by atmosphere and service.

 

PH is usually our choice to stay because of location. When we stay at Paris, I never seem to have luck on that trip even though I quite enjoy the casino. LOL PH later at night is so loud that you can barely hear the person next to you while playing at the tables. Make sure you get a Red Room at Paris if you choose it.

 

We stayed in a couple of different rooms at PH and prefer the Resort Vista room.
We also do bounce between PH, Paris and Ballys throughout the night.
