Longtime Lurker, First time Poster

    Late 30's guy from Central California who works for a company that is akin to a decent fellow citizen.

    Excited for my 10th(ish) trip on Sunday with the wife! Mirage Sunday night (MyVegas) and Palms Place (Hotwire) Monday night. Doing the High Roller and Bellagio buffet for sure. Other recommendations I've seen from here, Yelp, and Vegas Chatter (RIP) that we might try are a Verbena at the Cosmo, free beer at Todd English's P.U.B. (tried it last night at home- was easy for me), late night drinks at the Fireside Lounge, and the Mentalist ($10 on travelzoo - what the heck!)

    Standard Vegas Loves -
    Bellagio Fountains and Conservatory
    Shows (Mystere twice; BMG twice; KA, Mamma Mia)
    Gambling (Low Limit hold 'em, blackjack, VP)
    Buffets
    Pools
    Sights and Sounds

    Non-Standard Vegas Loves-
    Using better bidding and hotwire together to know exactly where I'm staying for the best price
    $20 trick - Can't remember it not working
    Clearly I like a good deal
    Unique Smells of each casino
    People watching - love the diversity of people from all over the world converging to a two mile area trying to have the times of their lives; the (more than) occasional drunk person is also fun to watch

    Thank you guys for all the warm welcomes! I am going to try to do a full trip report later, but just a quick update...
    Had one of, if not, our best Vegas trips! It didn't really look like how I thought it would. Still did not make it to Aria or the Cosmo to check it out. No verbena, no beer slamming, no blackjack, no Hold Em, no Mentalist.

    Oh well! We did do the High Roller, Carnaval Court, Portofino at the Mirage, Drift Spa at Palms Place (free passes), Bouchon for breakfast, Bellagio buffet for lunch, Earl of Sandwich a couple times. We were upgraded to a 1 Bedroom at Palms Place! Our wonderful friends bought us Le Reve tickets. Best show (by far) I've seen! Thanks to all the wonderful advice here and on Vegas Chatter (sigh)! Can't wait for our next trip!
