I would appreciate the "comp experts" to weigh in on the following hypothetical situation, to help clarify my doubts for upcoming trip: i book a room (2 months in advance) on a mail in special rate of 35% discount for 3 nights working out to $100 per night . I stay and gamble the the three nights and approach the host . The theo suggests i can get $300 bucks off my room rate....but the real time/retail rate of the room is now about 300$/night. Do i get 1 night of my stay or all 3 nights based on my booking price 0f $100? Thanks in advance!
My understanding is they take care of your "charge", that's $100 per night. You got a good deal online booking, that has nothing to do with comp.
If they comp the room it will be at the comp rate for that room which isn't what you paid nor the retail price. It's a fixed value set by the casino. In cases like this it's generally better if you charge stuff to the room and they can just take $300 off the F&B charges and you'll get better value.
