Has anyone been in the new VIP Check in Lounge at Aria? How is it? Supposedly this lounge is similar to the Sky Suites Check in lounge, but is for "VIPs" staying in the main hotel. They have a picture of it in the Winter offer brochure I just received in the mail, so I assume it's open.

My question, is how do I know if I'm VIP enough to use the lounge? I'm definitely an "invited guest" with a comped room, but not sure if I qualify as a "VIP" and can enjoy the lounge amenities and check in/out there? :confused2:

having a comp room doesnt mean your an invited guest, im sure there will rules but my guess will be nior and host invited and deppending on your betting on the floor im sure they will welcome you in.

it probably will work similar to other VIP lounges, which means you need your res to be coded in there by a host.

Noir card will probably get you in as well even if you're not staying there.

It doesn't necessarily qualify you for VIP check in. But I've never heard of anyone with a comped room ever being turned away from an invited guest line - I've told people paying casino rate to use the invited guest line and it's always worked.

I think this is correct. But, I also think Shifter hit the nail on the head. Unless you're coded as a VIP or Noir, you're probably not getting in the VIP lounge.

Can you imagine if they let every Platinum player and up in there? The place would be packed with people.

Wouldn't most Noir/VIP players be closer to Sky Suites, level, though (which already has its own check-in lounge)? Maybe I'm totally off-base, but my understanding of the Mlife tiers was that Noir is very uncommon, much more so than CET Diamond. Just anecdotally, I've seen tons of Diamond and 7* players while gambling at CET joints, but only a handful of Platinum players at Aria, and I can count the Noir cards I've seen on one hand since they went back to invite-only. The space blocked off is enormous, and I'm not sure that Noir-only would be enough to justify a lounge of that size. Unless only a small part of that area is being used for the lounge and the rest is being built out into who-knows-what.

Either way, I'm headed to Aria tomorrow and will check on whether it's open.

    Noir is like CET 7*.

but basically anybody with a host will get VIP lounge access.

it's just that Noir will also get you in.

The VIP lounge looked like it was still walled off for construction, last week. I also think you will need to be coded to it by your Host, unless Noir.

Thanks all for the info and for checking in on this. In the past I've been told to use the "VIP Checkin" at Aria when I made my reservation, but at the time that just meant the area that is labeled as "Invited Guests" that is to the left of the main desk. So I wasn't sure if that means I could use this new lounge or not. And my latest offer brochure from Aria had a photo of the space, so that's why I thought it was open, but maybe it's just a photoshop rendering of what it will eventually look like.

I just want to say "invited guest" and "VIP" are different things.

Bellagio has an "invited guest" desk, and the "Chaimans Lounge" for larger suite visitors, and a VIP lounge for hosted players.
My guess is this will be similar to Bellagio's VIP and will need host to access.
No way will it be open for the zillion people who come in on marketing comps.

There are plenty on Platinum players as I think you only need 100,000 tier points.
SkySuites has a very limited number of rooms and there will be a lot of high tier players getting bumped out of there are big weekends.
Invited guest is anyone with a couple nights room comp so I think the earlier posters have it in that your host will have to get you access.
