Just realized it will be 8 Vegas trips by the end of the year.

I was checking my B Connected card score history and didn't realize we have been to Vegas 5 times so far this year. Add our upcoming Oct, Nov and Dec trips and it will be eight total. I guess we fall into the degenerate category!:evillaugh

Maybe we should move there. Oh wait, we tried that and lost our favorite vacation spot. :evillaugh

I also see I've already locked up Emerald until Oct 2016.

I'd go there every month for 4-5 days if I could. I tihnk that would be the best mix. I'd love to live there but you're right, it would ruin my favorite vacation spot.

Joe, you're living the life I hope to have when I retire!

    Bummer, it's still 12-14 years away.

True that. I will retire from education in December, and hopefully work a part time job for a few more years.

Just curious, Joe...how long did you live there, and why did you move away...if you don't mind sharing.

2008-2010. There is long list of reasons we moved back to the snow and cold of WI, but the Vegas heat was not one of them. I've done enough living in Vegas bashing on the board over the years. Easy answer is my 3 brothers in Wisconsin are the only family I have left and they are 13 (twins) and 15 years older than me and I'm going to be 63 in Nov.

If you really want more, PM me.

I would love to visit Vegas 8 times a year. I'm struggling to go 2 times a year due to work commitments. I just might be able to squeeze a third trip this year.

When I retire (which I plan to do so in 3 years) I plan to visit Vegas a minimum of 4 times a year. More if I can afford to do so.

Does 6 Vegas trips this year qualify for degenerate status if flying from the east coast?

And does it count as one trip or 2 if you hit Vegas for 3 days, then go to Reno for 3 days and then return to Vegas for 6 more?

You are a lucky man Joe! Your Wife apparently loves Vegas as much as you do, and you still must be getting those companion flights. I'm feeling lucky to get there twice this year! My wife seems to want to mix other destinations in. Poor deluded Girl

Dave, maybe she's punishing you for making her paint the house alone. Lol

Come on, I erected the scaffolding and maybe a little bit more! But it is amazing that you were paying attention! She needs some Spa days and Vegas Steakhouse days after that!

I can't believe you don't think she is happy up there!

I just pictured you in a lawn chair, drinking beer pointing out the spots she missed. And I thought maybe I could send my wife out for retraining, she's slacking off a bit. Lol

I have a few friends who made the move from Hawaii to Las Vegas. Like you they were visiting vegas a lot and so make the decision to move up there. My friend's kids were also up on the mainland US. I don't think he is regretting the decision, homes are much cheaper in vegas, expenses are lower in vegas compared to Hawaii, more lanes on the freeways to hold more cars (unlike Honolulu where you have gridlock every day). He still gambles and has more money to gamble (don't let the move fool you, people who move to vegas still gamble). He doesn't have to pay $600 to fly to Vegas and back, esp many times a year.

I thought about moving to vegas but I like Hawaii, I'm able to golf just about every week, temps not too cold or hot (although this past summer was hot and muggy). In vegas I can't golf every week, it gets too hot and cold certain times of the year so I don't think I would enjoy moving as much as my friend.

Hey Joe, I'm looking at nine trips (normal is 3) this year if she (wife) doesn't object to next week's trip (just got back last week). Ten sounds like a nice round #, but would require a late Dec visit. Ah, one more chance to spend time with my harem of Valeria, Jackie & Darlene (ha, found a way to mention without beating the beer garden thread to death)!!!! Here's one of V

I actually gave it a little shake one day, when she was on it, to make sure it was firm, and you wouldn't believe the response!
