New episodes of Longmire on Netflix

We just watched all 10 this weekend. Still can't understand why A & E cancelled it -- great show. There are scenes from one of the New Mexico casinos - it is supposedly Wyoming but they actually film in New Mexico. I told my husband that looks like the casino/resort we stayed at a few years back in Espanola - The Santa Claran - I looked it up and I was right.

All 4 seasons are on Netflix now -- if you have never seen I recommend it. -- Lou Diamond Phillips is showing his age.

 

Unfortunately being a good show or not has nothing to do with why networks cancel programs like Longmire. It was canceled because it was not delivering in the ratings and that is how networks make their money - through the sales of commercial time. I am glad Netflix has picked it up though because it is a great show!

 

Thanks for posting this! When I was watching "Four Arrows" I paused it to try and Google the Casino with no luck.
At first I thought it was Wind River Casino in Riverton, WY. I visited it in May during a Jackson Hole/Yellowstone Trip.
It was a fun little place to hang out in.

I have 1 more episode of Longmire (#10) left to watch. So please no Spoilers haha. I've been trying to make them last.

It boggles my mind how the Networks, Netflix or whoever can air only 10 episodes and call it a full season.
Hell On Wheels aired only 7 episodes and then went on hiatus until next Summer a year from now. That's Crazy!
How do they expect to keep people interested?

 

Just binged the last 5 episodes last night until 4am
So bummed i have to wait for more

Oh well time to start bloodlines

 

I want to check this out! Love netflix , even here in Canada, good for a few interesting shows and entertainment

 

My understanding was Longmire was getting good ratings. It was getting higher ratings than Mad Men. Just not the demographics they were looking for.
