The last couple times we went to Vegas both my wife and I were amazed how good our backs felt. We have spent a good deal of cash the last 5-6 years trying to find something we like. We had one of those sleep number beds but after a few years decided it wasn't for us. Last year we bought a higher end mattress and are back to waking up stiff and sore each day.

Our last two trips we stayed at Encore and MGM and felt great each morning.

Question is this, can I find out what type of mattresses they are using? Who would I call or email.

Would appreciate any insight u could pass along

    Thanks to all
    Todd

I have the same problems! Can't stand my bed. Have tried 2 high end mattresses and thought I'd try a sleep number bed next time. Yet, when I'm at the high end casinos I have a great sleep on their mattresses. I have stripped their beds and flipped the mattresses. I have only seen the Serta name on them but no further information other than the name of the casino. I contacted Serta and it appears they have a different name for the same mattress depending on who's selling it. They won't tell me which mattresses are equivalent. The only way to be sure is to contact the casinos. They are willing to sell you their mattresses but charge a fortune for them. That's as far as I've gotten.

I know SAMs club and costco sell certain mattresses online that they advertise as a hotel pak, sometimes you have to buy 2 of them. or something along those lines. I was actually at the bar in American Fish several years ago and there was a mattress guy there attending a mattress convention. He told me the mattresses I described above were "overbuilt" and would last much longer than mattresses you'd find in stores. Not sure if he was BS or what but he also said that you'd do better finding stores that carried regional brands of mattresses bc the factories that made these mattresses still focused on using good quality materials ( google what makes a good mattress) just my .02 . Not really helpful brand wise.

Actually, you can get the same mattresses without going through the casinos. I purchased a Palm's king-size mattress and had it shipped for a bargain price from an regional supplier. That was 10 years ago and am still pleased with it.
The tip about the mattress came from one of the T2V posters, all those years ago.

Sorry to go slightly off topic, but does anyone know what mattresses they use in the sky suites at the aria?

I found that it was one of the better beds I've slept on while out in Vegas. I'm not sure if the same ones at the MGM. Any thoughts?

The release of pain in the back may be a combo of a couple things.

    1. The mattresses are great! Aria has the best beds I have slept in ever. You can go through the hotel themselves, but I think they upcharge a lot.
    2. You're on vacation, there is no stress, you are there to have a good time.

I think #2 plays a huge role in the pain going away temporarily, I know it does for me

Although there are better mattresses than others I believe your state of mind plays a big role too. When in Vegas you are in a beautiful resort/casino, you're having the time of your life without a care in the world.

Back at home you are on a quality mattress, you just fought with your wife, you're stressing about tomorrow's workload, and your dog just pooped in your house slippers....

Wynn sells everything in the guest rooms. There is a store on site just for that purpose.
