MyVegas $50 Dueling Pianos credit question

Does the $50 only work on alcohol or can it be used on food too? I know in the past people have said they let you use it on whatever you want but I didn't know if this has changed recently? Will be going next month.

Also is this one I need to load onto my MLife card before going to the bar or do I just show the reward at the table?

 

I bought this reward yesterday for using in October. The coupon makes it clear that I have to go to the MLife desk in NYNY with my voucher code plus proof of ID. They then give me a paper slip that I can show a staff member in the DuellingPianos bar in order to get the credit.
Don't know if I can use it for food - but if I remember right, there's not much food available in there. Drinks are pretty expensive so the $50 won't go very far! Also, I believe there is a cover charge just to get a seat/table in the evenings after 7pm. But, the entertainment is free after that.
