Very sad to pass so young, only 60. Brunch at Simon's at Palms was a favourite; I was sad when it closed.

Heartbreaking that someone so talented and relatively young as been taken from us. Knew he must have been very ill to close his restaurants....RIP Sir!

carson kitchen still open and really good

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Kerry Simon. Kerry fought a long and courageous battle, and through it all we've admired his passion for life and his amazing desire for greatness in each of our restaurants. There are no words to describe how much we will miss our colleague, our leader, and our friend. In his passing we will forever hold onto Kerry's love for bringing people together through food. Keep Calm and Kerry On!

Yep... I read he just entered Sheldon Aldelson's hospice about 24 hours before he passed away.

Didn't get a chance to try this place until right before it closed. Immediately regretted not going sooner / more often.

KGB was my go-to spot for quality burger eats without the fear of needing to wait in a huge line. Shame, that BBQ burger there was fan-freaking-tastic.

Was lucky enough to enjoy KGB's 3 times. Great burgers and overall vibe. He sounded like a well loved and admired person who will be missed on the Vegas scene. RIP Kerry

Kerry on, indeed. So sad. I did not know he had been ill. Seemed like such a sweet soul.
