Probably because roulette has terrible odds and betting $300 on an even money bet and winning should be good feeling, no need to lose it all back. I am sure it was more of a hey you got lucky kid, don't push your luck and try it again, but they were not actually stopping him from trying again.

    Nice report!!!

Gives me some info about what to do when we go in 2 weeks.... that place you went to eat I'm going to talk the wife into it 70 isn't bad for a decent meal especially in vegas.

Yeah I learned my lesson in vegas you always ask the drink prices. 1 bar can be $6 drinks while 10 feet away the next bar is $16 for the same drink. Some may have that in their budget... I do not lol.

Yalls bankroll seems similar to ours in the past... I'm hoping to have as much luck as yall did... minus the 1 night on the balcony. I'll be honest... every trip to vegas so far has had 1 "balcony night" at least..... keeps things interesting. Lol

    Thanks for the pics

VMB helped out a lot, especially by selecting a few restaurants and also shows to attend, also regarding the gaming portion (what is appropriate and what is not), what to expect at the tables how to buy-in etc, and also the 20$ trick, and the non long hauling tips for the cabbies.

We really liked Calvin, the name of the roulette dealer at cosmo, he was a general funny guy with a great personality, i guess he was saying like get your butt out of here with your win, lol in a funny way.

We were like little kids you know, first earning the black chips felt great, but nothing could compare to the yellow. I think next time we will be more loose, mostly my gf was way more conservative then me in the betting (this was a big challenge) as we played everything together.

We also did play a few hands of BJ, won 3 hands in a row there. I tipped everywhere I played pretty decent, always, even if i lost, kept the good karma and good vibe feeling.

Except at Aria where they wiped me nearly 700 in like 5 min of roulette. I just felt too bad, haha, but most of the other small loses I did tip.

PopsOLA, you guys are going in 2 weeks thats a great time, I do recommend mon ami gabi, not just for the view, but the steaks are very reasonably priced good fries too, and good service, and good food. I guess these are how relationships go, fought and madeup a few times. Im sure you guys will have fun, my advice is to play a little in each of the nicer casinos, if you win (or lose) a little, take a breather, enjoy your time, take pics of your chips, and cash out, move to the next casino, this is really a fun experience, buy in each time for 100 or 200 and move around after any significant win or loss. We did this tactic at Cosmo, Bellagio, Venetian , Palazzo, and Aria. I guess the downside is its hard to earn comps by doing this. But for first timers, playing tight, this worked great. You guys will have a blast.

I recommend trying to find a place with a balcony to take the view in , we had quite a few expenses in vegas, but now i know to definitely spend a little more for the room upgrade, its worth it.

I learned for myself this trip that craps was the game of my choice, so many things going on at the table, and such a fun game to play, guess we had great luck.

Did you have a shared bankroll? DH and I have separate bank rolls not tied to household monies and he plays 3 Card and I play slots as his wagers are too expensive for my small bankroll.

She agreed to pitch in 500, but we never had to do that. I think mostly it was me since I had the gambling feeling going :) Next time I plan to up the bankroll to 5,000$

Yeah if you want to see how bad of a degenerate craps can make you you should see us next week. ;)

But, the balcony at Cosmo isn't all bad. Just ask PayTriple. [emoji48]

Nice report. Sorry to hear you were disappointed by Delmonico after all that research. Fairly surprising to hear it was overdone.

PS> I know people hate being a pain, and many don't want to wait for another steak, but especially at a high end steakhouse, if they screw up your steak temperature, you should really let them know right away. They will almost certainly offer to make you another (if you don't want to wait you can say no, you'll eat it, but its disappointing). Often, but not always, they will strike things off your cheque (or offer free booze/dessert etc) by way of apology.

High end places take service very seriously and need to maintain a high reputation. They would rather find out they screwed up right away and have a shot to make a good impression, then find out when they read a Yelp/Tripadvisor/etc review later on.

Hahaha , good one! luckily I didn’t get locked out on the balcony!

Delmonico was not as bad as I made it seem I guess, it was okay, I was just shy to send back the steak, the cut was uneven so some parts were rare and the majority was overdone.
