Plaza Hotel.... Suite or Penthouse?

So I booked my offer in June and was given a suite and my fp for my stay in Sept. This month I had a new offer with slightly more free play so I called to have it amended and the nice rep asked if I was calling to change to penthouse offer. I never received that so I said no just the free play change and she said well I could get the suite or the penthouse but didn't have much information on differences. Anyone with experience on the difference between those two options. She seemed to think the penthouse was the better of the two so I booked it but when I tried to buy another night she said they don't sell those so if I wanted to add a night I would need to book a deluxe room for 1 night. Wondering if the hassle is worth the penthouse or if I should just keep suite and buy a night on that. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Any differences that you know? I could book that but that means I'm going to need to book elsewhere for 1 night so making sure worth it. TIA

I guess Plaza's penthouse is not Bellagio's penthouse.
I would not have a high expectation.

 

I have stayed in there penthouse many years ago. It was big but not very impressive as far as the quality. I'm sure it has been upgraded since. Overall I still loved it.

 

I think they have 5 rooms on the Penthouse level. We've stayed in three of them over the many years but none since the hotel was renovated. Two of the ones we stayed in were large and pretty nice however one was just a regular room on the Penthouse level. I know for sure that they had a least three large and one regular room and can't remember if the other one was a regular room or a large room. One problem was that only two of the six elevators went to that floor.

BTW, I'm talking about the South tower, I'm not sure if they have a Penthouse in the North Tower.

Your Penthouse offer was based on your casino play which was higher than previously. Previously, your casino play may have warranted a regular suite but, now it warranted you a much higher upgrade to our Penthouses. Thanks man. Hopefully I get to say what's up to ya out there we decided to stay with the penthouse per your suggestion and will be just staying the 4 nights. Hopefully win big or go broke trying.
