Downtown live TR labor day weekend

I am headed out for a solo trip starting tomorrow. I am supposed to be on a 4:30pm flight but I am thinking about working for a couple of hours tomorrow and trying to get on a flight at 11:30am. Precious time to be gained on a short trip. I plan to make the meet at MSS on Saturday night but I have no set plans other than that. Lots of VP and maybe a poker tournament or two.

I will be staying at Four Queens initially with an offer of $300 free play and $50 food credit. I have MSS booked through Monday night even though I am on the red eye home Monday evening. I like doing this to have a place to shower and change prior to heading for the airport. I will be updating with pics of big wins via tapatalk and look forward to meeting some fellow VMBers.

First hitch in my plan. Looks like there are only 2 seats open on the flight I wanted to stand by for. I might have to stick to my original flight.

 

Because I was unable to go the standby route I hope to play in the Orleans $125 poker tournament tonight. Start time is 7 so a flight delay would sink that plan. I don't really want to register a short play day and supposedly this tournament draws well over 200 people each week so the prize pool will be a good one. Pretty sure showing up at the 4Q at 2am or later will be ok with them. I think final table goes at about 4 am in this thing. 30 minute levels throughout with a decent starting stack. Who knows? Could be over by 7:15 with the wrong hand.

Didn't do well in the tournament. I was too tired to be effective. I did hit these during a couple of breaks.



Also, this is my ride for the weekend. I'm hoping it gets good gas mileage....

 

Oh god, did you rent from Hertz too? We went out to summerlin twice and we still only got 200 miles on a full tank (8 gallons). It's supposed to be 34 mpg combined (still terrible) but I'm pretty sure ours needed a tune up after 29k miles.

And nice hits on double bonus deuces! But why play that game if you aren't playing full pay? [emoji12]

I didn't grab a lot of quads because JOB quads aren't as fun as premiums. I made a decent run on dollars though. Bought in for 100 and cashed out at 500. Already over 10k coin in at 4q so heading over to mss for some play.

 

Yep, got this bad boy from hertz. Chugs and almost dies at stop lights and getting to highway speed quickly is an adventure. Priceline for 12 per but I'd kill for a kia rio right now.

 

Yep got ours from priceline for 11. They must be trained to punish people who use priceline. And almost dies at the light? Oh boy. You'll be lucky to get 25 mpg then. Ours wasn't THAT bad. It sure hated parking garage hills though.
