So I saw this on TA and sounded like a good idea -- sorry if it has been posted before. It was a suggestion from an airline ticket agent

"If you are going to be in a cab....take a picture of the cab company on the side of the cab, take a picture of their operators permit, and take a picture of the license plate. This is in case you leave something in the cab.....there are hundreds of cabs here and at least 5 cab companies. In case you leave something in the cab and need to find it right away."

I thought it was a pretty good idea -- plus if you start off by snapping a photo it might discourage getting tunneled. I don't know if I would take a picture of the operator's permit but taking a photo of the cab with the Cab # sounds like a good idea.

if you were organized enough to take these pictures every time you got in a cab,

you are probably organized enough not to leave important things in the cab.

With my luck, I would leave the camera / phone that I used to take the picture in the cab!

Good idea. I always take a picture of my room number because I can never remember it when I come back all "bleary eyed" at the end of the first night.

I take a picture of my wife so I don't accidentally sleep with the wrong woman.

We hit casinos alot. I always text our room number to my wife. That way be BOTH have the number in case we suddenly realize we have no idea where our pillow is.

Never done this before, but if I ever return to Aria I will.

3-4 digit room numbers ... easy. 5 ... easy to slip your mind.

These replies are a lot better than the ones on TA -- I have never left anything in the cab. I have one bag I take with me on the plane and my husband has a small backpack. When I get out I always check the back seat. But you do see it frequently that people leave things behind -- Many times you guys put the cell phone in the pocket -- so maybe that would not be left behind.

I wrote down in my cell phone notes our lot # and space at the airport a few trips ago. I forgot to turn my phone off and it died. When we got back we could not find the correct space. -- Luckily my husband has a good sense of direction and was able to find it without too much difficuly

I do take a photo of the hotel room # -- I can't remember that many numbers after a tequila fog sets in.
