Most clubs have some kind of "sign up" promotion, but most of them are not free play necessarily.

Some might be 5-10 bucks in free play. Some might be free play if you get a certain amount of coin in. Some are loss rebates paid in free play

Here is a list of ongoing promotions. You can search it for new member bonuses. Don't expect anything earthshattering.

Well about 8 years ago I got $20 free play from Harrahs when I signed up for CET player card. Around the same time I think I got $10 for signing up for MLife and then after gambling a certain amount was granted an additional chunk of freeplay. This stuff probably changes pretty often, though.

Yeah, 8 years ago was still in the early days of the casino loyalty programs so everybody was offering something or other to new signups so they could build up their database - I can remember when we did our big signup for everything trip in 2005 we each came home that trip with four coffee mugs, three t-shirts, a hooded sweatshirt, pen and pencil set, a photo album, picture frame, multiple key chains, two necklaces, backpack, two decks of cards and a few other trinkets, plus we each had around $200 in free play and saw three free shows... all from just signing up (and in some cases earning a few points).
