CBS moved it to Monday night, opposite Monday Night Football.

3 of that cast made the most $$$ per year, in TV Land.
I guess, exactly, the way the cast of "Friends" were all raking in
BIG $$$ at the end of their run.
    *
    Sheldon ( Jim....?..Parsons ?....what's his name ?) was at the top w/ 42 million.
Not sure if that figure incl. all income....from endorsements, either ?
    *
What was the reason given for changing the time slot ?
    *
I have a theory that the guy who plays "Sheldon" has had surgery on his neck --
to remove any loose skin........therefore make him appear younger + thinner.
I mean, there is NO skin under that jaw line ! ......NONE !.....ZERO !..........not normal.

CBS has Thursday night football in the fall. They did this last year too. Had it on Monday then moves to Thursday after football. Show gets huge ratings, not in danger of being canceled.

No they didn't. As noted immediately above, the show will air on Monday to free up the Thursday slot for football until November, when it returns to Thursday and Supergirl debuts in the Monday slot. They did the same thing last year and ratings have continued to go up. Besides, the overlap in viewers between the two shows is minimal. Smart, hip people watch BBT.

Agreed. Love the show but I watch it and everything on demand etc. Rarely do I watch anything on its original air date.

Yeah, it moves to its Thursday time slot on November 5th, only on Monday nights for two weeks.

God am I out of it ,I thought somebody came up with a different theory on the creation of the universe. I'm the guy who told his wife when she said she wanted to go see Pitbull,"You want to go to a dogfight?".

Speaking of BBT's new season: other than the core cast, who could you do without seeing?

Me? Lucy. I'm glad Raj got a new girlfriend because the Lucy character got on my nerves.

Yeah I agree with you about Lucy. Of the regular cast members, Bernadette tends to irritate me the most.

I thought smart, hip people read books rather than watched sitcoms.

Either way, I'm smart and hip! Hooray!

Although I watch football, too. Can you be smart and hip and watch football?

I'm curious as to how minimal the overlap is. I suspect certain sports fanatics don't watch many sitcoms... are the audiences mutually exclusive?

And I'll agree, it's well written, highly entertaining. Comedy is subjective, however, so to each their own.

I suspect that CBS did some serious demographic analysis before they decided to make the move last year. Or they saw that most people DVR the show so they could put it on anytime.

Howard's mother used to annoy me the most but since that's no longer I'd have to go with Bernadette as she has basically turned into a younger version of Howard's mother. I do like the interaction between her father and Howard though.

The Big Bang Theory was funny for the first couple seasons when you laughed along with the characters. Then it changed to become yet another show about pathetic wimpy guys and the overbearing women in their lives ordering them around. I stopped watching years ago.

I like the show best when it focuses on the friendships (not the romantic relationships) and them trying to make their way through a world they're not always comfortable in.....
