There is an ABC store across the strip and a little north of MGM.

I don't drink, but my girlfriend does, and we went to the store across from Mandalay a couple of times last year. Good prices on everything, even my 5-hr shots. She recommended it to her friends who stayed at Cosmo last month, and they made the trip down there and liked the prices.

Walgreen's is just kitty corner to Excalibur. Best prices I've seen in the area.

And it's a one stop shop for just about everything. We do not pack the travel goods as we just go there to pick them up for almost the same price as home.

Wasn't me that said that but there is a CVS next to MC. We walked there from Mandalay to get our travel goodies.

The Walgreens is just North of MGM on LVB. Pretty much directly across the street from the CVS by Monte Carlo. Which is quicker to walk to depends on where you start.

There is a small liquor store on the second floor of Excalibur. You might pay a couple of bucks more but it would be convenient for you.

    I wouldn't say that's kitty corner. That's a pretty good walk.

I never said it was kitty corner. I just responded where it is when someone asked.

You know, Google Maps has a pretty nice feature where you can search for something (like, "liquor") and it will show actual walking distances. Imagine that!

that seems to make the most sense to me. That store appears to sell lots of booze. Whenever we walk by there, they are stacks of beer cases.

If staying at Excalibur there are a few options:

The Spirit Shoppe: on the second floor near the food court. They do charge premium prices for snacks, water, beer and sodas, but the prices for hard liquor are actually not that bad for being in a casino.

AM/PM: across the street from Excalibur, you can get there easily by using the exit under Tower I (exits to a little parking lot with Luxor across the street and the AM/PM just across the street). The prices there are going to be cheap for things like cigarettes, snacks, beer, water, etc - they just don't have that much of an overall selection and they don't have hard liquor other than stuff like hard lemonade or a strawberry mixed with vodka drink, etc.

Mandalay Bay: across the street from Mandalay Bay is a gift shop and a Beer & Wine store. You can get some cheap supplies for the room there and a better alcohol selection than the AM/PM.

Mandalay Bay: across the street from Mandalay Bay and then down towards the McDonald's is a little mini mall with an actual liquor store and a better convenience store, plus a few fast food places (donuts, pizza, McDonald's, Subway, Panda Express).

We bought our liquor from Essentials on the casino floor when we were there last time. The prices weren't too too bad, considering the convenience. I'm used to liquor store prices here in North Carolina, so they seemed a little high to me. They weren't exorbitant or anything, and we got a little discount with our Mlife card, I think. Just don't order liquor from room service!

ETA: Yes, we did check out the liquor store near the food court...I completely forgot about that. I do think the prices were reasonable on the liquor. Snacks were very expensive, though, and so were cigarettes. I'm totally bringing a carton from here on our next trip...cartons of Newports are $47 here, but the packs at Excalibur were around $11, I think!!
