Hi, I want to share a my Seven Star journey with you all and tell you how much it cost me to get there. My primary casino is Caesars AC. I am an 80% table player with 20% on slot. It took me 9 trips this year to hit Seven Star for the first time. I am a significant baccarat player with 500 - 2k average per hand. I was always a Diamond for the past 4 years and get treated royally by my host. I always get any food/beverage, large suites, spa and even limo rides (when I'm too tired to drive) from home all the way to AC (240 miles round trip) comped. I never cared about my tier status because I knew I was getting treated better than most.

Life was good as a DIAMOND until one day back in Nov 2014.

(Nov 2014) I was waiting on the DIAMOND line to cash in my chips and there was about 6-7 DIAMONDs ahead of me (Note: I usually cash large amount of chips in a hidden VIP cage in the back but I only had a few purple chips so it didn't make sense for me to go back there). When I was finally next after 15 mins of waiting a flood of Seven Stars show up to cash chips and the security lets them go first. I waited another 10 - 15 minutes and when the security finally waves at me to go, I start walking toward the cage and I felt someone from my left side rushes pass me so quickly he pushed my chips and drink off both my hands. At this moment I was going to knock this guy out and before I said anything he whipped out his Seven Stars card repeatedly saying he is a Seven Star. He said "I AM A SEVEN STAR AND YOU NEED TO WAIT TILL I'M DONE". I said F*** YOU AND YOUR SEVEN STARS you pushed me and didn't even apologize. We begin to have shoving match and it caught the attention from security in all 8 directions. At the end the security lets him go first because he was a Seven Stars. Afterward, my host was probably notified by the security and he came to apologize and even offered me some free play. It was such a tough cookie to swallow that day so I made a sacred vow to achieve Seven Star in 2015.

So my journey begins where I started to look into tier bonuses and how to maximize my play for tier points while minimizing my play. Playing at my level still took me a while to do because I don't have time to make many trips. Therefore I must give props to those who grind their way to Seven Star on slots/table regardless if you roll high or low :nworthy: . It's not easy to achieve this status without hanging yourself or going into debt during the journey. I was upgraded to Seven Stars a week ago and it cost me around 20-23k loss. Was it worth it for me? yea I probably would have won/lost that much with or without a loyalty program but more importantly I set a goal and made sure I follow through with it. All that being said I'm not rich or well off in any way. I just slowly built my bank roll like many others and learned early on that the amount you bet doesn't matter it could be 10$, 100$ or 1k as long as you fully understand the game you play and have discipline you can come off even or up in the casino in the long run! I am still up overall.

I'm glad that you made 7* but sorry you had to "have" a reason like that to do it.

I promise to let you ahead of me in the 7* line anytime . . . .

I must live in an alternate world...I'd say if you can afford to lose $23k in a year, you are well off.
That's a monthly note on a nice house in 90% of the USA.

Maybe the guy lives in a cardboard box under the overpass to afford to gamble the way he wants?

I think that's appalling that they would cut in front of you while you are already in line. They should have a separate line for diamond and 7* and just go according to order. It's like the Mlife cafe line, there's one for invited guests of certain card colors but not like noir can cut in front of everybody...

Very appalling considering he was already walking to the cage, from the line. At my local Harrah's they do a definitive segregated line at the promotions desk. However, there are so many Diamonds at this casino, every line goes faster than Diamond...both Gold/Platinum and 7* seem to breeze through at times.

I just made 7* earlier this week. It cost me $34k, which factors in $60k worth of handpays from CET this year so far. Although, I did hit a $9k handpay last night, using freeplay, so that helps some.

you should take the seven stars perks without being a jerk. Im not going to cut in front of others at the cashier, but if I'm hungry, I'm taking the next table.

    Actually that's not true.

I cut in front of lines all the time just by showing my card.

Being polite doesn't cost anything. There is no excuse for being an a-hole. I doubt that any life shattering event would have taken place if this fellow remained behind you in line! I will never spend the kind of mulah you do, so hopefully Founders will keep the CET Diamond status as one of its perks!

I try not to be a dick about it, but if there's a good sized line and I'm in a hurry, I just walk up to the front and flash my card discretely to someone that's standing there and they either handle me themselves or go get someone.

I don't make a big deal about it because people in line get pissed and start asking why this guy is better than be etc and I don't need that.

I also don't do it when I have no reason, like cutting in front of one person or when I don't have anywhere better to be. I'll just stand in line with everybody else.

The other thing it gets you is seated at a restaurant instantly even with no res. I def use that.

I know the Diamond Card got me nothing quicker at Guy Fieri's in A/C. Put my name on the list behind everybody else and had to wait 30 minutes.

The last thing I'd do if treated like that was decide to give that place MORE play until I was one of the people they don't dump on.

Enjoy your seven stars though. There are some cool benefits, so have fun.

I'm 7 Stars and I often wait in line with everyone else. I feel weird cutting in front of people, especially at the cage. I always use the 7 Stars hotel check in line.

It cost me around 33k last year but this year luckily I'm up around 20k (according to their win/loss statement). They only get me because of the tahoe property. My 7star trip to Caesars AC was a miserable experience not to be repeated, lol

I'm stumped on why someone would lose $23,000 to not wait in line :):):)

    $20K a month on a mortgage? Yep, that's a nice house.

I would not advise anyone to gamble big unless your cut out for it. My family was torn apart because of my Dads gambling addiction. There is a very thin line between fun or hell in a casino. Walking along that thin line is a treacherous thing to do but with some discipline minus the fear you can do some significant damage on the table.

Here are a few tips I can share for table players

    1. Walk away or change to another table immediately after several BAD BEAT. Bad beats are when the cards your dealt are looking good but the dealer miraculously comes out on top when it seem nearly impossible. Those are hard signs of a hot dealer or your on a bad streak. Be VERY mindful of bad beats and super sensitive about every single one you encounter. No matter how much you lose GET UP AND WALK AWAY. I promise you that the fight is NOT over yet and you can overcome this even if you feel like sh*t from not winning a single hand. Go clear your mind and don't think about how much you lost because you didn't lose anything yet until you check out or decide to leave. Keep practicing and your awareness will strengthen over time giving you clarity on the whole situation whenever you sit on a table.

    2. Set a goal and be realistic. Don't sit down on a table with 500 and set a goal to win 3k. You will need 5k to win 3k. When you meet your goal walk away or stop playing.

    3. "The danger is real but FEAR is a choice". You must learn how to control or dismiss fear completely when you are in the battle zone (on the table). Fear can mitigate your losses but also severely limit your earning. When you are HOT you will know it and you must be VERY conscious when you are HOT (If you don't know how to tell, please read tip #1 and keep practicing until you do). This is the time you can push 30 - 75% of your wins in one single hand. Do this several times intermittently and you will notice your earning has multiplied. FAILURE to execute this correctly is just as stupid as pushing HARD when your on a losing streak and most people will find courage when they are losing :nono:. Remember your goal that you set and when you get there WALK AWAY.

    4. The most important thing YOU MUST DO at a casino... HAVE FUN! that is the only reason why you are there and NEVER FORGET THAT.

There is a lot more I can share but if you can consistently do most of the things above you will eventually know the rest.

    Good luck
