Vegas Inc. did there summary report on the July 2015 gaming numbers released by NGC. Following the trend of last month, downtown gaming numbers are up while LV strip gaming is down.
Clark county as a whole was off, in comparison to other counties in the state. Nevada as a whole is off YOY .96

What I found most interesting was this quote: 'Baccarat revenue declined 23.08 percent to $104.1 million, while slot revenue increased 5.52 percent to $600.3 million.'
Baccarat as a whole is off YOY, and Vegas casinos are feeling it. Guess the Asian markets, especially Chinese gamblers are not playing in Vegas.

Shout out to Zinq, who posted on my other June thread about the July numbers coming out. You can read about the July 2015 stats in the Vegas Inc. article linked below.

I can attest to helping fuck up those Bacc numbers for them.

Well, now that the high rollers from Asia aren't a sure thing, what will the new strategy be?

I would not be surprised if these f@*kers try to make up the Bac revenue by screwing over the low rolling grind players. Cause you know the share holders don't give a crap, just show us hitting revenue / budget target or the someone on the board is getting axed.

The sad facts are (from American Casino Guide website) as follows.
Both Foxwoods and the Mohegan Suck, neither of which is known for generous payouts to put it mildly, both have higher penny slot payouts the the Strip (expected) and DOWNTOWN. Definitely not expected.

Does anyone know what the bac handle was for the month? Seems like that would be the key statistic in determining how much of the YOY loss is due to losing Asian gamblers

The resorts need to drive room occupancy rates in Q4. More guests equate to more revenues. I believe we will see additional incentives/promotions to make this happen.

Yes, they never learn. I have lots of comp rooms and meals, but have opted not to visit. My money disappears way too fast with all the tighter slots.

Down 20.8 percent year over year.

EDIT: That was win total, not handle, but it shows the softness either way.

Not really. Bacc is a streaky game and some big players hitting runs can easily damage the win for the month regardless of the handle.

There's one guy that comes to the Mansion and regularly wins or loses 30M+.

I just don't get Baccarat. I get how to play it, it's brainless, but I don't get the appeal.

Exactly. That's why I was curious about handle.

Good point on the High Roller effect but hold percentages have been pretty normal so I don't think that's what's going on here. Baccarat has been soft for months, Steve Wynn even talked about it on his latest earnings call.

Revenues are solid, occupancy rates were second best month of the year and given the lack of major conventions is a good sign. Its just gambling revenue thats down and thats tied to high end Baccarat.

And high end baccarat has been down for awhile, just that it gets to look like a sudden dip for ages since they compare year over year.

    From the article:

In short, their trends have looked bad for a year because baccarat rev has been in the tank for a year. Now they are going to start comparing with months after it tanked, so next month the gaming report could look a lot more sunny.
