I have to say I love the cromwell. I have not stayed in the rooms yet, but I will be soon. I am staying there over Caesars , paris or planethollywood though because of the politeness and service I received there everytime by the dealers, waitresses and staff. Everyone there has always been so nice and craps dealers there are some of the best in my opinion. And the drink girls are fast, very kind, and probably more attractive on average than any casino in vegas. I have spend about 15 hours or more gambling there on each of the last 5 trips to vegas in the past year. I have seen drunk people on friday, sat and sundays stumble out from the pool and walk around in the casino. They are loud and rowdy at times but I havent seen anything major or differevint from another casino. Since I will now be staying there, I will use the pool and rooms so crazy people could annoy me a bit. But im barely in the rooms and sleep with a head phone in anyways so noise is no problem, and if the pool is annoying I am told you can use the flamingo pool which is probably closer to the cromwell rooms than most hotel rooms are to their pools on property. The flamingo pool is also probably rated as one of the top pools on the strip as far as atmosphere and fun. And if you want a laid back pool they have another pool for relaxing I believe.

I am not into the club scene so im not their target demo, but I am late 30's and in shape so maybe they treat my age group better than an older age group because as nice of an experience I have had countless times there is the opposite it seems of the cromwell bashing in this thread. I am bummed they dont have a diamond lounge there (at least ive not noticed one) but again I could probably get from my room to flamingos diamond lounge faster than I could get from my room to the diamond lounge at caesars

I'm 54, so definitely not in the target demographic, but I have always received excellent customer service at Cromwell.

Given the size of the property and the disproportionate amount of revenue they make from nightlife vs gaming it's no surprise. They are a TR property so the are obliged to service the high tier members.

I am staying there to try the place out since I like the boutique style rooms, small casino, and Giada. However if they can't control the behavior of the club crowd then it will be my last stay there.

I already figured that I will be throwing some play at other CET properties like CP and Ballys since they are a few steps away.

Enjoy your trip and remember to update your experience at The Cromwell. I'm very interested to read how it was in your opinion.

Staying at the Cromwell Tuesday and checking out Saturday. Not prime to observe the weekend crowd but I will also report nonetheless as well

I don't think this is true at all. If they didn't care about gambler their games, dealers and drink service would suck. I only play craps and BJ, so I can't comment on any other games, but I don't think the craps and BJ games are any worse than any other CET property. The dealers and pit bosses are (for the most part) very good and the drink service is fantastic. I just got back and did 100% of my gambling there. I didn't feel at all like they didn't care about me. I think it is a great place to gamble. Now, to say that gamblers are not their top priority, I would agree with that statement. But to say they don't care about gamblers is unfair in my opinion.

I agree. I have not, or ever plan to step foot in their club. However anytime I have gone over there and gambled, I have been treated just fine. I do not have any status at CET, as I feel most of their Las Vegas casinos are just a small step above my local river boat. Without any status the CWs and bartenders were bringing me beers faster than I could drink them. If every CET property was like the Cromwell I would give CET far more play than I do now.

thats becuase its a very small place so service was a key when they built it, but when u go to ceasars you might wait up to 25-30 minutes for a cw,but as a gamblers there no perks for playing there except the free drinks like every other casino.and being high tierded means shit to them there wich is a shame

Just because it is small doesn't mean they have to have good drink service. They could have one CW covering the whole place...but they don't. As a poster above me said, I couldn't drink them as fast as they were giving them to me. At one point I had 3 almost full beers on the rail at the craps table, I lost track because she was bringing them so fast. There is no way the service has to be THAT good just because it is small. Too bad about not having a diamond lounge, but where would they put one? I think one of the bad things about the place is the limited dining options. But again given the size of the place what could they possibly do to change that?

It is a bummer they dont have a diamond lounge, but couldnt you get to the diamond lounge at the flamingo from the craps table at cromwell as fast as you could get from the craps table at caesars to diamond lounge at caesars.

i couldnt care less about the diamond lounge , its just one of the things they do that dont atttract there gamblers, they give no pool or club curtesy and all thats that place is , one big pool day club and nite club, thats my point, im treated better as a local than a diamond , so i give them no money becuase they give me no reasons too.thats my point

Your posts are very confusing. You don't like them because they don't have a diamond lounge, but you wouldn't use the lounge anyway? Then you say you are treated better as a local than if you were a diamond....and that is why you don't play there? Because you are treated better than a diamond? So you don't give them any play? I totally don't understand what your point is.

im treated better as a local than a diamond the only thing the place is good for is the day club , nite club and after hours thats why it was built, i dont use any diamond lounges at any cet hotel i live on the strip but just making a piont about ,, but as a local i get into drais and the day club and after hours free most of the night as a diamond nothing thats my point. it used to be show your diamond card and walk in now its 30 or 40$ but my local id gets me in free, do you see something wrong with that picture, i can loose 10k at the cromwell and have to pay a cover charge and wait to get but show my local id and breeze in for free. that was my point.

i dont consider the cromwell a hotel i consider it a party place with beds

    hope that explains it better

while the doorman at drias after hours make guys pay them a bribe of 100$ to get in ,i just walk in as a local, i guess do you see whats wrong with this picture

I see the issue of ignoring out of towners that come in and spend a lot and expect to be treated well and to have an upscale experience

plus I am not sure if this is part of what you are saying, but often times "locals" can bring "issues' with them like fights and other poor behavior......that is part of the issue now downtown locals just down there often with booze from home hanging out on the streets and causing issues while going into none of the bars and clubs

it is like hotels (all over the USA and even Canada) that will not rent rooms to locals because they are usually just there to party and tear the place up....I am not saying that locals are renting rooms much at Crumwdels, but I am sure they are a well above average as a % of the people causing problems in the club and on the property in general and probably without spending a lot of cash while there
