Do they usually post the coupons anywhere ahead of time?

 

Yes, and I don't remember when, but it seems like they do so around Nov. 1. ACG will note all the new coupons in its book, without noting which coupons are absent from the previous edition.

Some coupons won't return.... no more Riviera match plays, or Las Vegas Club for that matter. Shows that have closed will no longer be in the book, either, but some match plays or offers from the past will disappear simply because the casino is no longer interested in offering them. El Cortez, for example, use to be in the ACG.

 

Presumably when it goes on sale the ACG site will list them as it does for the 2015 guide.

 

Makes sense... new to ACG, apparently too late to get too many of the goods from the past.

 

Im new to it to, but following along as if the 2016 downtown list is similar to this years, i may pick it up. I haven't joined a lot of those clubs yet, so i could get decent value.

 

We get the ACG and LVA books every year and there is tremendous value if used properly. The LVA newsletter even breaks the value into optimal use and "any idiot" values. The AI value is basically free play and match play. Optimal use includes maximizing BJ multipliers and video poker multi points. Some of the coupons take some time. The 10x cash back at the D is an example. Max bonus is $100 per coupon but that requires $10k coin in over a 24 hour period. Great value on the right machine but significant play required.

 

Yeah, I'd mainly be using AI ones.

Its not a question of the difficulty to use or understand, but simply the degree it wants me to behave in a way I otherwise wouldn't.

 

I hear you. I am perfectly content to sit at a VP machine for 10 hours a day so max value is the way to go for me on the slot coupons. I don't play tables much but I always max value match plays. The coupons that I am more cautious with are the 2-1 on your first Blackjack. Most allow $25 bets but I typically fall in around $10-$15. I know I am sacrificing value but the variance isn't worth it to me.

Got my supply of 2016 - ACG books delivered yesterday, Nov. 19th.
Already started to cut out the coupons, and sort them out for future use, and trading.
