Has anyone seen this recently? Is it any better than the reviews I have read from a few year's ago that were pretty bad? I head they revamped it and I'm curious what you think.

    Thanks.

My wife and I saw it April 2014 and we both hated it. We learned a lot about his life with youtube clips and just boring nonsense. I honestly wouldn't watch it again if it was free.

You may enjoy it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Hopefully he's revamped his show since then.

I have not seen it, but a friend of mine who is very slow to criticize anything, and is always trying to put a positive spin on everything said it was (edited): "the worst piece of crap" she'd ever seen, and that you couldn't pay her to go back.

That's been enough to get me to stay away.

I didn't think it was that bad . . . but then again, I was using myVegas tickets so the price was right.

I took my then 11 year old son and he loved it.

We saw it a couple of months ago. With the companion ticket bringing the avg cost to $25, it was barely ok. I didn't hate it but would not recommend it either. It's cheap and mildly entertaining. No chance I would pay anywhere near full price.

ok I won't waste my time... even on free myVEGAS tickets ... I felt the same about Zarkana.. I was so bored I fell asleep, I've seen Zumanity and Ka (which were ok, but Ka had taken out the "live" ending when I saw it) and will likely only see Michael Jackson's One as far as cirque shows go.. some day.. I feel like you keep seeing the same acts over and over.. and I don't care for the "comedy" portions at all..but maybe that's just me..

    Thank you for your insight...

on the other hand, has anyone ever seen the Australian Bee Gees show?

Not to derail your question, but I have been told by several people that LOVE is a great cirque show - whether you like the Beatles or not, and ONE is supposed to be really really good as well. I haven't seen either.

I can't speak to the Bee Gees show, don't know a thing about it.

I have seen both Love and One. Love as most agree is great. One is more dance than gymnastics. If you are an MJ fan, you will like it. If like me, and only mildly interested in the guy, take a snooze.

I have tickets to Love, but I was thinking of dumping them.. Doesn't sound very appealing to me... to each his own I guess..

You would be among the minority. Every show of course has those that like it and those that do not. If you read much hear, you will find the percent of folks that do not like LOVE is much lower than other shows.

NOTE - just noticed this is posted under MyVegas. For more show information looking in the Entertainment Forum.

I saw Chris Angel Believe last year. It was bad. Half the magic acts involved turning the lights off and then turning them on again and something disappeared.

I've seen Zarkana twice and I love it. I;ve seen Michael Jackson One 5 times and its great.

I saw Love and I did not like it at all. I am not a fan of the Beatles at all. Love reminded me a lot of the opening ceremonies for the London Summer Olympics. If you watch both Love and the Olympic ceremony they are remarkably similar.

I've seen it twice, not really a Beatles fan, and I think it's the least enjoyable CDS show (seen all of them except for Believe). Not much wow-ing, but I suppose its more about the music and story line? I would highly recommend MJ One and even Mystere which you can get fairly cheap tickets for.

My girlfriend has seen it and she always says there is a reason for the believe title. The bold LIE is in there and she says everything was a lie and horrible.

Was one of my first shows I saw in Vegas. At that time I thought it was kind of OK, only later when I saw David Copperfield and Penn & Teller I realized that it was really bad.

So if your expectations are low, and you don't have much to compare you might enjoy it ;)

I kind of want to see it - just to see how bad it is. I'm surprised it's managed to stay in business all these years.

I like Angel and think he's actually very talented. But this show isn't very good at all.

I believe 'BELIEVE' still sucks. I think MGM would have dumped it, if not for the sweet deal Angel got with a 10 yr contract / buyout provision and a lack of other show availability on the strip. However with Blue Man moving back to the Luxor Nov 18th Luxor may feel less of a need to keep Angel around.

I've wondered the same thing. The show was not sold out but pretty full. I don't get it.

We ate at the Luxor buffet before the show. We were free via MyVegas but I will never eat there again. It's the worst buffet I've had since the old Boardwalk Casino. You only ate there if you wanted to take a chance. The pit boss heard me say something about it and laughingly gave me a comp after 5 minutes of play with a very sarcastic "enjoy".

I felt the same way about Zarkana. Had trouble staying awake. My order for the CDC shows I've seen:

    1. O
    2. Mystere
    3. Ka
    4. Love
    5. Believe

I'm not enamored by Love like a lot of other people. I never have liked the beatles much and the show is more artistic than acrobatic. IMHO, O is in a class all by itself. The staging is a spectacle without watching the performers.

I used to love Mindfreak so I was excited when his show first came out. I read all the terrible reviews and thought to myself, "How bad can it really be???" Well, I wish I had listened to the reviews. It was terrible, predicable and totally cheesy. If you're prone to migraines, beware of the lighting because it will trigger one. Btw, I went on a myvegas comp and still felt ripped off. lol
