Usual points for a stay is 600.

Book a qualifying stay at participating MGM Resorts International Destinations by July 23, 2015.
Complete your stay between July 1, 2015 and January 5, 2016.
Upon hotel check in, request to earn Rapid Rewards® Points and provide your Rapid Rewards account number and M life account number.
You must also be an M life member in order to earn Rapid Rewards Points

I forgot to tell the desk the last few times I have checked in to get my rapid rewards points -- Will definitely remember next month.

 

I always pay with my SWA RR card, keeps it simple since that's automatically linked to mLife

Doubt it. I've never received MLife points with a MyVegas comped stay.

Really? I did when I got a MyVegas room at the Luxor last year. Ditto for 2 comped nights this year this April.

Incidentally, I only had to show my card once and after that I've just gotten the RR Points automatically with all stays since the accounts are now linked.

 

I emailed MLife about a couple of my stays and they said because it was comped, I couldn't get Southwest points, so I opted for Hyatt points instead with the additional spending I did. Did you have other nights linked to your reservation?

Did anyone else try this? I did at Monte Carlo and they only gave me the 600. Now I looked up the page where they claim they will give you the triple points and it's nonexistent anymore

Just a follow up to this. I stayed at MGM Aug1-6 -- I checked my rapid rewards and now I see that they only gave me 600 points. The promotion was 1800 points for a qualifying stay. I wonder what the qualifying stay requires. The promotion said you had to book by July 23 or 2 6 - can't remember -- but I booked my room back in April.

I emailed Southwest to see if I will get the full credit advertised.
