So, I have some futures tickets for MLB that are fading. Will they honor them? I have the Pirates over 84.5 and Royals over 81.5. Those two are kind of fading and a few others are really bad. WTF. I put them away in a money belt in my closet and it's actually kind of hard to read them. Anyone else ever have this issue? :grrr:

I have with souvenier TITOS worth only a few cents..I'd suggest scanning your tix quick before it's gets worse and I think if even the barcode is unreadable the time stamp/actual bet may help.If your tix are fading that means others are as well.Pretty sure the casino will do thier best to honor them..just back yourself up a little..
I see your timer is a ways away, maybe better off sending the tix in with current scans of them before it gets any worse as soon as the bets are finalized.(Certified mail)..Takes a couple weeks to process..I think you will be fine.(I'd even call the sportsbook manager and tell them what is going on) Good Luck!

Yeah, Im gonna scan them in the morning. I have a year from the bet to cash them, so my trip in December is fine as far as the timing goes. I'm just worried about the tickets flat out falling apart. I have like 4 that I am confident about and I'd hate to lose out on the cash.

I thought based on the title you were seeing the bets tarting to look like losers. Way better issue. Haha. Nice mlb picks.

Hey, I've got the same Royals over 81.5. Live in KC and it seemed like easy money. I'm liking my Royals World Series future bet at 25:1. I'm going to Vegas in October, so I will probably hedge my bet a little with some other teams that are still in at that time.

Yeah. Either scan them or write down the pertinent data, time/date/bet detail and the 16ish digit code on the ticket.

Most smartphones have a document mode in their camera that you can use to take a photo of your tickets.

If the code is unreadable and you have scanned and/or taken a photo of the ticket you could try doing some work on it with a program like Photoshop to see if you can raise the code off the ticket or get the details like time and date (even a slight discoloration in the paper that you can't see with the naked eye might show up like a sore thumb when enhanced on a computer).

Definitely take a picture or scan the tickets, if the original completely fades or falls apart the book will honor the tickets. Worst scenario, they would make you fill out a lost ticket form and wait a couple days to get paid. If you have a photo of the ticket it expedites the process tremendously and most books will pay you on the spot.

Thanks for all of the replies. I actually called the casinos I placed the bets in and they said that all they need is the serial number at the top (same as the one 3/4 of the way down). I scanned them and I have what I need. They said to keep them in a baggy and in a book to keep sunlight and air out. Man they need to get better printing paper! I have receipts from like 7 years ago that are holding up better! I'll remember that for next time.
    Thanks again.
