Table Games Fire bet question

I've never played the fire bet before, but I do know the general idea. My question is if/when someone hits it 6 times what happens after that(well after the cheering)? If they hit another point does that count as 1 or 6 again? I'm guessing that they reset the count after someone hits #6?

 

yes, if all 6 points are made after all the paperwork (w2gs) and payouts are done, it all starts over and new fire bets need to be placed

 

Yeah I figured they wouldn't want to pay that out a few times in a row.

 

They don't stop the game when someone makes all 6 different points. When the shooter is done ( finally seven out), those on the fire bet present ID (if necessary) and paperwork is done and everyone is paid.
I have been on the firebet when the shooter made all 6 numbers. He rolled so long, he probably could have gone around a 2nd time.

 

Don't play it, total suckers bet. Just my two cents

 

Oh I know it's just like most side bets at the carny games. But since I've never played it I figure why not toss a couple of bucks on it. And with Franks titanium arm I can't lose right?

 

I would say I am way up on the features bets (Fire, All, Golden Dice, etc) for carps in my life, so I will continue to play. You hit that 6 point fire one time and your hooked forever.

 

Ditto... I hit a 5 point Fire at Horseshoe Hammond and the puck was on the 6th number (9). It had already been a monster roll so I hedged and layed a ton behind the 9. The shooter sevened-out and I got the money for the five points and the money for the lay bet.

Hooked.

Not a big fan of the All/Small/Tall bets. I was goaded by a dealer to put down a two-way all for a buck... and it hit. It was very exciting, but other than that, it hasn't held my interest.

 

I've thought of hedging when the shooter is working on the 6th number, but never have. How much did your hedge cost you vs what you were paid from the 5 numbers?

 

I have been pretty lucky with the fire bet. I have hit 6 numbers once. And I have hit 5 numbers 5 or 6 times, and I have hit 4 several times as well. So I would say I am up lifetime for the Fire Bet. I walked up to a table at the Paris one time and a guy had been rolling for a long time and eventually rolled a 5 point fire bet, no one was on it. The next shooter also rolled a 5 point, I was on that one.

 

I only had $1 on the Fire bet, so after 5 numbers hit I was at $250. When the puck went on the 9, I layed $300 (to win $200) and when the shooter sevened out, I made $450 (the $250 from the Fire and $200 on the layed 9).

Had the shooter rolled the 9, I would have made $700 ($1000 from the Fire less the $300 I had bet against the 9).

 

My man! That's the smart way to bet!

 

You can also sometimes lay the all bet when there's one number left...only if the last number is not a horn number though...

 

The table didn't think so when the seven showed on the dice...

 

But the table didn't win money on the Lay bet when the 7 hit, like you did.

 

Excuse my ignorance. But if you layed 300 to win 200, don't you need to subtract 100 from your 450 winnings?

Would you have hedged the same ratio if your firebet was $10???

 

Great theoretical question. I don't have the bankroll for a $10 table, much less a $10 Fire bet!

 

I always play the firebet. I'm usually on there for $5 or $10.
Using the ratio in your scenario, with a $5 firebet, I'd gain 1000, but lose 1500 with a 5# or 6# win. I've never hedged. I've always been more concerned with the amount of money on the table since I press my numbers every time it hits. If there is firebet money to be paid, my numbers have a lot riding.

 

I always throw $5-$1 on the fire. Its a sucker bet, but I never want to be the one at the table without money on it when it hits.

This past trip at O'Sheas, a shooter (not me sadly) hit a 6, 5, and 4 point fire bets on consecutive series. It was unreal. Unfortunately I missed all but the last, but it was all the dealers talked about for hours after.
