I was mailed 4 Southwest drink tickets last year that expire 10/31 this year. My flight leaves at 7am to Vegas. I don't want to use them coming back because we get back at 1am and have a 1 1/2 hour drive home from the airport. Will they serve booze that early on the outbound flight? I don't usually drink on the plane, so I don't know. Thanks!:drunk:

Yay! Should be interesting. Not a great flyer, and flying alone. See if it takes the edge off. Lol

We predominantly fly Southwest to Vegas, and often on an early flight outta the OC.

They most certainly do serve on the earliest flights.

I don't think I'd fly with them if they didn't! :licklips:

Darn right they do. It's always fun to see the look on the face of the person next to me when I order a scotch on the rocks at 630 in the morning!

The first couple times I did it on Delta, I felt guilty (and like an alcoholic) but FAs never bat an eye. You never know what people's schedules are, how long they've been awake, where they've been flying from, etc. So as long as I'm not driving on the other end of that flight, I'm going to have a drink or two!

Tomorrow, I fly to NYC in the morning. And yes, I'll have a drink, thank you ;-)

Like my grandma said when she took me to Vegas the first time "We're on vacation!"

On the Pittsburgh to Las Vegas trip the flight attendants frequently give out 1+ drinks free if you buy a bunch.

U.S. based airplanes are all on Russian time zone. Therefore, you are an afternoon drinker.

    All is fine.

Absolutely. I was on a 6am flight to Colorado a few years back, and an old man opposite me was drinking vodka-rocks. I dry-heaved a little...and then ordered a beer.

I was on an early flight from minneapolis to kansas city once, it's less than an hour flight, the guy next to me had 3 drinks, the last one just a few min before landing, the flight att told him ok but slam it quick...I was a lightweight, only had 1.

I'm not a big liquor drinker, so beer it is. The menu has Summer Shandy on it so maybe I'll try that. It's a 4 plus hour flight so I should be able to use all 4.

We usually take the 7am flight and get to Vegas at 9am. It honestly has never occurred to me to drink that early. But if Southwest wants to give me 4 free drinks, by damn I am going to drink those drinks!:drunk:

I was disappointed in July on my Milwaukee/Vegas flight when they didn't carry Heineken anymore. I saw that they have Summer Shandy and ordered one. I told the flight attendant that I had a drink coupon, and she left. (Every other time they take the coupon right away). I then fumbled through my carry-on, looking for the coupon to no avail. She came back, and didn't/forgot to ask me for it. Score!! I then remembered that I put 'em in my polo shirt pocket.

The MKE to LAS flight is iffy. We fly it about six times a year. Most times they don't collect the tickets until the end. Other times they ask for it up front and occasionally, they never ask, or just "forget" about the second one I ordered. I can't say I've seen the same crew more than once, so who knows?
