As I move away from the Four Queens and look for other deals and places to seed play, Fremont on the American Casino Guide coupon is one I'm going to try. The best game there is Pick em Poker, which seemed to intimidate me in the past, but apparently should not have raised any fears. It is a pretty easy game.
I've been using the tutor with Dancer's name that was developed by Zamzow and I think I can run a few bills through in my November stay and see how it goes.

I have a good deal of respect for Linda Boyd. She has a decent VP book published.

For a while had a great discussion board, and was very personable and especially generous to me in setting me up with a host in Laughlin that comped rooms on my bankroll and play. (that host has since gone to take care of her mom)

I like this article Linda did on Pick em.

The Fremont has the best pay tables for the game. It seems they are unique in Vegas in that respect. I hope they will keep them until November.

Those games have been there a long time so hopefully they aren't going anywhere. I don't play them much but that is my go to at Fremont for the 250 points for a buffet coupon. I just hope I can get a four of a kind someday. I flopped one two trips ago and could only keep 3 of them. Nature of the game but so frustrating.

    Love pickem!

The article was not bad. But sadly in 2008, this article was fairly irrelevant in "Midwest Gaming". Other than Isle of Capri KC (which downgraded it last year), i can't think a Midwest casino that had full pay pickem in 2008. I got hooked on the game when Harrah's STL had full pay on their bally gamemakers. They downgraded in 2004 by shorting trips, and I stopped playing that there.

The problem with pickem is that almost every casino shorts trips which plunges the game below 97% and just ruins the game. Most people play pickem for the payback and little else. And the only other paytable I've seen that's "okay" is a 98.74% paytable that Linda didn't even include in the article.

And that being said, make sure you double check the paytables before playing at Fremont. They definitely all aren't "full pay"!

Definitely was the highlight of my Sept. 2014 trip.

Thanks again. Linda probably focused on Midwest in her comments because that was the focus of her board that was connected to some Midwest gambling publication.
Thanks for the second pay table. In Vegas I'll only play if I find full pay where VP free says it is and then only if I have bankroll left for seeding.
Otherwise I'll pump more into the Orleans when I am there. Especially if I swipe a good multiplier. Well, thanks for the interest and comments. I learned a good deal as I always do here. Oh, I thought Circus Circus had pick em in 50 cent plays. I may have gotten that wrong. Just curious really.

You may be thinking of Circus Circus's 50c 8/5 Aces and Eights progressive for the Royal and a reversible sequential royal ($25,000 base) boosting the game up to 100.25% before progressives. But the sequential royal is about a 1 in 4.2 million shot and is worth about 0.5% to the return. Normal full pay Aces and Eights is 99.78%.

If you go there, be sure to check both banks as they are separate meters. I was dumb last trip and played the lower sequential progressive as i didn't notice the meters were different until Flusher's report. The larger one was over $10k more! :(

Barring progressive changes, strategy for Aces and Eights is just like 8/5 Bonus except a pair of 8s is better than a four flush with no high cards.

That is what I was thinking of. I won't try it this year. There are enough new games in my list, but I remember thinking it was something I might play back when MyVegas gave a couple free weekend nights at Circus Circus. Those days are gone. Thanks for all the help.

Pick-em is my alternate game from DDB at the home casino. Both are full pay at $1 level. Pick-em can eat your bankroll fast if you're not hitting.
