I never knew this place existed.

It's on Paradise near the monorail and convention center. It looks like you get $10 free play when you sign up for a card.

I love this place. Have stayed here many times and will be doing so again in two weeks. No frills, nicely kept, convenient to the monorail and convention center. Rooms are spacious, pool is decent. Casino is non-existent, really. Just a few slot machines like the inside of a convenience store. Bar/diner is okay, food good but should be priced lower. Parking is extra-convenient and plentiful, albeit uncovered. Made reservations months ago for New Year's Eve weekend and got for $57 a night. Hubby even liked it when we stayed a few months back, and he's usually fussy about smaller joints.

I stayed at this place when it was a Best Western (they are no longer affiliated with them though). Basically just like normal motels, you can actually drive up and park your car right in front of your room. I thought the room was nice and roomy, separate bedroom with a living room complete with couch, coffee table, tv and a couple of chairs for your friends. They also have a "kitchenette" area with a fridge and sink. Too bad they don't have a stove or plates and utensils so you have to bring your own hotplate and utensils if you want to cook food. You can see their standard room on their web site.

There is a (small and slow) elevator for people to get to the upper floors (I think the place was 3 stories) but there are also stairwells to get up to your room.

I never used their casino area, nor their restaurant, I usually just walked out or drove out to go elsewhere. BTW, there is a McD's a few minutes walk away so easy to pick up your own breakfast (or meal).

This place is a good place to stay if you are attending conventions at the convention center since it isn't very far to walk.

I stayed there right when they had a race so unfortunately the usually ample parking area was filled with crews parking their trailer cars in the lot. I would stay there again if the price were right though (was cheaper than staying on the strip). Also unfortunate but I think they also charge a resort fee now, I don't think they did when it was a best western (but I could be wrong since I last stayed there about 2 years ago).

We stayed there in 2001 on our second trip to Las Vegas. It was just fine then and a light breakfast was included in the price.

I've also never heard of this place but it looks like they have decent promotions. Unfortunately vpfree2 says their pay tables are "nothing good". I wonder if the 20x points or 25% rebate can make up for it. ..

logging onto the boyd sites I got this at the cal:
    4 nights, 8/24 - 8/28. $38 a night = $152

+ hotel tax comes out to somewhere in the $170's.

    NO RESORT FEES.

Just sayin. I'm partial to downtown but the rates you gave are good for a place near the strip and the $5 a night resort fee is one of the lower ones around.

up to you, I just used the place for sleeping so I didn't care about the gambling there. Like all other small places with slots I assumed the paytables wouldn't be that great anyway.

For a second I thought this was a thread about the Golden Mardi Gras casino in Black Hawk, Colorado. I didn't know this one in LV existed.

Been there several times, you'll find the menu on their website. http://www.mardigrasinn.com/restaurant_menu/index.html
For me the food was great. The last time 2014 they had some excellent home made cheese cake. This summer I'm at the Mardi Gras again, I hope the cheese cake is still on the menu. :)

Was already planning on going there as it is in either the lva or the acg so another $20 fp between two of us is an extra bonus.

Those pulled pork pancakes look interesting. Never heard of that combination for breakfast before!
