When y'all are playing Blackjack or Craps or one of the other games. Do you have a system for when you walk away from the table? Is it after so many hands (or rolls), certain amount of time, or when you lose x amount or win x amount, or do you leave the table when you get bored?

i play blackjack and I usually leave when I either get bored or the table is getting cold. so either im winning lots of money and after losing a few hands ill color up and leave. or if i straight lose a few hands off the start ill press a few times to try to get back to even then ill either leave close to even, or ill try to grind it out again from the start. Generally i try to get in and get out quick and move on to the next table/ casino

    I play $10 blackjack, with a range of bets from $10 to $40 (with a very-rare $50 bet from time-to-time).
Most of my bets are in the $10-to-$25 range.
I use a 'protect-the-win' strategy when it comes to when I leave a table... that usually starts at $100 up or so... If I'm up $100, I will not leave with less than $90. At $200, it's $190 and so on.

On the downside, I typically will not buy in for more than $200 in one session, although I've broken that rule more than once.
I know there are players who have a "3 consecutive losses & I'm gone" rule...sometimes it's 4 losses, but the basic rule is the same.
In my experience, this should never be a reason to bail. Often, those consecutive losses are a symptom of the count...sometimes, it's just bad luck... either way, it will always change - eventually.
Last trip, while playing the $10 DD game at LVC, the dealer got four 21s in 5 hands...(2 blackjacks and drew to 21 on the other two).
Table emptied, leaving me playing solo.
Two shuffles later, I was up over $100.
I left when I was +$190, about 45 minutes after that.

One of the reasons I play two-deck is that 'bad decks' cannot last very long.

Now, as for craps - I am the very kind of player the casinos love! I have no sense of when I should leave...and consequently, I almost always give back any wins I've made. I should probably establish a "$200 rule" for when I play... if I did, I would have WAY more 'winning' sessions.

I leave when the table is no longer "FUN"....I rode out many a cold table just because I was having fun...for me, it's mostly about having a good time!

    Ditto.

Sometimes it's the beating I'm taking that makes it no longer fun. Sometimes it's the dealer or other players. Sometimes I'm just not feeling it and would rather be doing something else.

The one exception is when I have a huge win. If I'm up really big (several X my buy in), I'll set a trailing stop and leave when my win falls to that amount. I always hate doing it because no rude dealer or annoying player on earth can bring down your fun when you're winning big. But walking away from a table having pissed away a giant win is the one of the worst feelings there is. So while I usually scoff at hard and fast Vegas rules, this is one that I try my hardest to always follow.

I only dabble in craps, so I am rarely there long enough to have a set pattern for when/why I quit.

At blackjack it depends on my plans for the day. I seldom budget for reloads, so running out of buy in is certainly trigger #1

But beyond that, sometimes I will have a set plan for later, and so the blackjack session will be roughly an hour (often ending on a shuffle if it is a shoe game). Sometimes it will be more open ended, and I will play according to how fun the game still is, and as the session wears on I may set a win/loss walk away target.

Here are my triggers to leave a table.
    1) Lose my limit for that session.
    2) If I am up, then I will play out a pattern until it runs out. For example, I might be betting Don't Pass, and doubling the bet if I lose, and going back to the original bet if I win. I leave if I lose two bets in a row. I have other patterns but usually I want to see two losses in a row before I quit.

At the craps table I will leave....
If I lose my original buy in.
Or, when a shooter finally 7's out after a monster roll.

I'm a craps player and one of the things I've never mastered is when to leave. I usually leave after a monster roll but I have been known to hang around for a couple more shooters after that.

Most times I will monitor the table and if one whole revolution of shooters occur with a point-seven out or similar to that I usually leave and come back later.

On the crap table I won't stick around if a number of shooters crap out early. I'm not into grinding it our, nor playing the dark side waiting for a hot table. I usually watch the action first, check to see if a shooter "qualifies" by throwing a number of good numbers before I put down my bets (yeah, I know more superstition). I go elsewhere or come back later to play.

on the bj tables if I lose a certain number of hands in a row I'm walking.

On machines I usually put in $20 or $40 and when it is gone then I am gone. If I don't win after a number of spins I am also gone.

The most compelling reasons to leave the craps table....
....too many "two rolls, no coffee shooters....
and a new player walks up and proclaims, "I haven't won a bet all night...

In BJ and Craps I will leave when it is no longer fun as thecarve & Gchrome stated above. I will also leave if I get that sixth sense that things will continue to go bad. Usually though I will leave when I lose about 50% of my buy in. During my last trip I bought in for $500 and lost $450 of it without a single win at the BJ table. Needless to say it was not fun and I violated my not coloring up after losing 50% of my buy in.

Typically when I go for a week I will go into a very deep slow-roll mode if I have a significant win, for me, on my last several days to preserve the win. This happened on my last trip and I still had a great time my last three days away from the tables.

I play blackjack and craps and like to give a table at least an hour, and then I take stock of where I'm at. If I'm still having fun I'll stay longer. Of course, "having fun" can be somewhat related to whether I'm plus or minus for the session, but even if I'm down, if the dealer and players are having fun, I'm likely to stay.

Of course, in blackjack, if the dealer is consistently pulling 21s and killing the table, its pretty tough to stick around!

Too many variables for determining when to leave the Craps table.
Number of players, cold table, hot table or just one hot shooter.

Yeah, this is usually what I see happen.

I bankroll myself so I never lose my entire buy in, but if you're down a bunch and the variance isn't kicking in and bringing you back, after a few hours you give up and write if off.

The other time is after a monster roll, pretty much anybody who's been there for any length of time colors up and leaves.

Will leave the craps table when I lose 50% of $1000.00 buy in or when the knees start to hurt. 50% lose normally comes first

    when to walk away:

2 hours and I am usually bored and need a change winning or losing

    Unfriendly/no fun/sourpuss dealer

    Unfriendly/no fun/sourpuss players

Lose my budgeted bank - i am decent about keeping to my budget but, I normally buy in for about a third more of my actual budget so if I get down to that 1/3 point, I can walk way with "something"

    When the SO calls:)
