Taking my wife to Vegas in a couple weeks. I have been 3 times this past year and stayed at Harrah's twice and the Linq once. Both were clean even though Harrah's was a little dated. I'm thinking about either the Linq or PHO. People that have been to both what do you recommend for a mid 20s couple? I was considering the Linq because I have a deal for like $240 for all 3 nights combined. What are pros and cons?

Newer but smaller room and bathroom - The Linq

Older but larger room and bathroom - Planet Hollywood

Personally, I think size matters. Loved all the space at Planet Hollywood.

Linq should be a bit cheaper-priced, even with its new and refurbished rooms. It has a better pool area than PHO, and being more center-strip you have easier access to many of the other CET properties. It's also closer to some of the cheaper food outlets. You should be able to find cheaper limits on table games there. Linq is also nice for people watching, as people walk through the casino to move along the strip. I find drink service to be pretty good there, but check-in can be rough depending on when you arrive. Front desk is a free-for-all.

Planet Hollywood has a nice buffet and nicer restaurants in general. Table games will be a bit more expensive. Lots of opportunity to play live poker, cash games or tournaments. Pool sucks. Rooms are nice; craps crews are great. Check-in will be smoother. Drink service is average. People who gamble at PHO tend to have a bit more money to burn than people at Linq.

In your 20's, I'd recommend the Linq. If you've still got some of your college party life left in you, you can have more fun for a bit cheaper at Linq and the attached O'Sheas.

I much prefer PH to the Linq. Of course price factors in, what kind of rate are you looking at for PH?

Planet Hollywood for some reason, has really small room windows. If you care about looking outside.

I really wanted to have a view of Strip from room but don't have too. The Linq is going to end up being $250ish for the weekend and Planet Hollywood around $450. I would even consider staying somewhere else and paying more. I don't want to spend more then $750 on room. Want it to be good time for my Wife first time to Vegas.

I think the PH basic rooms have small windows. The Resort room and Resort Vista rooms have multiple large windows.

I prefer PH, but it looks like you have your mind made up and that should be a good choice. Just don't stay or set foot in Circus Circus and you should enjoy it!

If the pool is important to you, PH has one of the worst pool setups in Vegas.

I like PHo but that $200 difference can be put to good use to get your wife a nice meal.

For 200 less, I'm taking linq every time. The one time we stayed at PHo, I wasn't impressed. Much more impressed with the linq remodel.

Well since you already stayed at Linq once try something new this time around! My Vegas goal is to have stayed in at least every casino at least once not just M life or Harrahs properties only etc.....
