I received a phone call from the D on Sunday, it was from a slot host that I was unfamiliar with, inviting me to a Slot Tournament.

I have had the same host for the past 2 years who had taken very good care of me. I asked him if she was still at the D, and he said, no, she moved on to Downtown Grand.

I told him "no thank you" to the slot tournament (I'm taking a break from LV until I make 7*) but told him to send me an email so I could put him in my address book.

He sent me the email and I had the oppotunity to ask him about the "hot" guest services gal, and he said that she had moved on as well.

I sent email to DTG, but both emails bounced. Monday I sent another email, which didn't bounce, but no reply yet.

I'm very curious to see if there's anything going on at the D, or this was just a choice by my host.

Yeah I guess so. I have moved casinos a lot, so I guess this is the first time I've had a host "move" on me.

It also looks like DTG is hiring new hosts. Someone I went to high school with is connected to a DTG host on LinkedIn and the host has posted they are looking to hire. Maybe it's more of a shake up at DTG?

I had Avery reach out to me letting me know he's my host about 2 weeks ago. I've used marketing offers for the last 2 years. Maybe they're making their hosts take more clients so some of them are bailing?

Avery is not your host anymore. I found out this weekend that he is no longer at The D.

I have had 5 hosts at the Fitz/D in the last 5 years. I think it must be a training ground. I got an email a few weeks ago that the host I met for the first time left and the lady sending the email was my new host. Seems to be the case, I meet them and they leave.

Glad I read this post. Avery introduced himself to me on my last visit and gave me his card to set up my next stay at the D. I emailed him a couple months ago after finalizing our flights and he said he would take care of it. Have not heard from him since. Never used a host before, so guess we're getting a crash course on host roulette in Vegas. Guess I'll try to contact a different host if Avery doesn't respond to my next email.

For what its worth my host at the Plaza last year moved to The STRAT . My new host at the Plaza, that they gave me by default, I assume moved on as well or got fired and now i have yet another host that emailed me from there saying he is my new host. I wouldn't say there was a shake up but, like Shifter pointed out, hosts move all the time and usually a good host downtown gets a call up to the big leagues (strip or a larger property).

Glad I saw this. Avery was the one that I worked with last. Guess I'll have to see if Marty is still there.

Tried to email Avery a couple days ago to follow up on our trip in October and got a reply from Pete Scarpa, I guess my new host. He said he would "reach out to me" later I the day. Haven't heard from him yet.

Avery had been my host at the D for a couple years. I had sent an email last Wednesday about the end of August trip. Pete Scarpa replied that he was my new host and he would get back with me on Friday. Friday I received his email with the confirmation number and contact info for any other needs. It shows Wednesday & Thursday as his days off.

Guess I'll just email Avery's old email address, and see who I get. Well, if I decide to go next month or not.

I Tried emailing Avery and got an email back from Pete also regarding my October trip. He took care of our room comp, FP, MP, and food and beverage credit that Avery had offered.

Does anyone have an email address for Whitney Godard at the Golden Gate and the D (assuming she hasn't jumped ship too?!)
