Were marshmallows included in the resort fee for Cosmo guests?

Texted my host at Cosmo. She said all they know is that the fire started with the palm trees at the pool. But nobody was evacuated and it been extinguished

The Las Vegas Sun reports that the "palm trees" were made out of styrofoam...surprised they haven't burst into flames before! (...does the Vdara "death ray" extend as far as this pool?? lol...)

Great video posted on periscope.. link via VegasChatter.

fire was very, very localized. Not a big deal. Some of the comments from folks were idiotic.

Just like the fire atop Monte Carlo a few years ago. So, how much of Las Vegas is NOT fake??

And how typical -- with the highest percentage of smokers in any area in the entire country, surround them with highly-flammable styrofoam fake stuff. Brilliant geniuses at work!

I'm really surprised the trees were artificial. I guess it really is Disney World for adults. All an illusion.

The Cosmo crew worked through the night and has completely cleaned the pool deck, walled off the fire area, and even painted the wall. Unless I'm mistaken, the pool will be open today, minus a few cabanas!

I would bet they are already in the process of removing the rest of the styrofoam Palm trees from the property. The fire chief said in all the fires he's seen in Vegas he's never seen anything that burned like that and basically called them torches.

Even after MGM, they still allow this to go on?
