I am going on a solo Vegas trip in September and was wondering what show would be a better option to go alone. I saved enough points to purchase a free standard ticket to either show through MyVegas. Is it odd to go to a Vegas show solo? I have seen Mystère and KA and loved them both. So what do you guys think?

Half of my Vegas trips have been solo trips. Usually I'm there for 3 or 4 nights and I try to pick a couple of shows to break up the nights a bit. Zumanity would be a good switch-up from Mystere and KA. More adult/comedic... a lot like Absinthe in style.

Not odd at all! I saw a few Cirque shows solo and it is just fine. Love is a great one too to see.

Of the two, I would do zarkana solo. Zarkana is more traditional Cirque, whereas Zumanity is more interactive...they pick on audience members a lot.

Hmm, I didn't consider Love. I actually might choose this one over the other two. I love the Beatles!

Hahaha... I know the feeling, but honestly once you're seated, you just blend in and its dark. I find going to a bar or club by myself more awkward.

I would pick Zumanity over Zarkana, but I'd definitely pick Love over either of them.

Love had some really spectacular effects. Sit a little more than 1/2 way up in one of the "200" sections.

Zumanity over Zarkana definitely. And I enjoyed it a lot more than Love but it's a different kind of show, you won't go wrong seeing both of them. But again, Zumanity I found MUCH better than Zarkana. And one thing I always add when discussing Zumanity, you want to get there at least 20 minutes before the show as there's some funny stuff that goes on pre-show :)

I cannot compare the two shows, but I just got back from seeing Zumanity last wednesday and quite enjoyed it. We were staying at NYNY and had tickets included in our flight/room package. As the above poster mentioned, definitely get there a little early to catch the pre show crowd interaction. Next time down I would like to see Ka to see a more traditional style Cirque show but am quite glad I saw Zumanity.

Thanks for all the replies and advice. I greatly appreciate it! It's down to Zumanity or Love as of right now. I am going to wait until a week before I take off from Boston and make the choice.

As a group, couple, or solo...Love! Going solo...definitely Love! Zumanity is ok...just ok...but definitely want to go with a significant other, or as a drunken group.

I'm actually gonna go see Zarkana this upcoming trip it's gonna be my 5th Cirque show after Love, Mystère, Ká, and O out of all of them I would recommend Love, but because I'm a huge fan of the Beatles and the Mirage is my favorite hotel/casino!

Zummanity and Love are remarkably different experiences. While I absolutely love "Love", I was really sorry I waited so long to see Zummanity.

The surreal visual experience and Beatles music make it an incredible production (*I am biased toward Beatles music). The acrobatic performances in Zummanity were just mind blowing, and if you appreciate the adult themes of the show, you will not be disappointed one bit.

Bottom line, I connected with Zummanity more as a couples experience seeing the show while I enjoyed Love on a personal level. So I would base the decision partially on whom you are going with as well as the show content.

I would assume there are long term contracts in place but with the Mirage changing hands it wouldn't hurt to see Love before the ownership change just in case.

Good choice on Love. It has the theater in my opinion. I went to Viva Elvis at Aria alone once. I didnt feel weird. such a waste that they switched it out for zarkana
