LolaDoggie's 2015 shameless ACG coupon giveaway

I kept it pretty simple the last time I did one of these. The person who could give me the most shameless flattery won. The winner was so good, he didn't know when to turn it off. We might still be engaged, I'm not sure.

Anyhow...I got thinking about what I could do this time. What would be fun, lively, different?

To win my un-used 2015 American Casino Guide, regular mail included I'd like to know more about how you would use these coupons. How about a short essay, photo essay, chart, spreadsheet or video explaining how you would use you would use these coupons. Would you do any trades? Which ones are your favourites? Do you pride yourself on using as many as possible? Will you use any outside of Vegas? Etc.

I've always been a nosy person so I'd really like to know how you'd use these coupons.

As I stated in the original post, they are un-used. No coupons have been used.

Well, I haven't had any entries yet. So.....no I don't have a giveaway date. I wouldn't be able to get it out to you that quick though.

 

Judging by how the first day of this contest has gone....I'm predicting utter failure on my part. I apologize and shut this contest down. I thought it would be a fun thing. I was wrong. Anyhow.....

 

Dang it just saw this thread and already missed it!! I had a 10 page essay written too!!

 

I spent all night making a photo essay with spreadsheets and graphs, set to music. It was really nice, o-well I deleted it.....now I'll go get a drink.

 

I suspect you're full of crap. But, I'd love to see whatever you've got.

Ok here goes
We did not buy our usual ACG book this year due to budget cuts in our household and really am missing it
we are going in august to celebrate my Vegas loving hubby 's bday and his retirement which will come one month later
And we are going with 2 other couples so $$$$$ saved would be helpful

We would use the coupon book to make many MP and FP runs in all the casino's

While in the casino do some shopping such as 20% off Ballys shop might even take advantage of the 20% off Bally's Spa since my feet and legs will be tired from all the MP /FP runs and shopping runs

Definetly use the Ellis Isand one for chance to win up to $100 FP and the MP there on the tables

Lot's of good eats such as Hooter's buy 10 get 10 wings ( I go for the food this is my hubbys fav thing to say when going there.... yeah right )

20% off at Dicks will be used as we are staying part of our trip at Excalibur

Have to have my NY Y pretzel so that one is mine

The GVR coupons would be used since we are staying 2 nights there for the first time

All drink coupons will not go to waste as hubby will be thirsty with all that August heat

And since we love to stay busy in a town that does not sleep we will also take advantage of the BOGO coupons for Eiffel Tower -Madame Tussaunds Wax Muesum -NY NY Roller Coaster

Well I know this is not a funny or picture story it is MY STORY as to what I would use the coupon book for

And I promise to continue your kindness after our trip if I win by giving away un- used ones away on here to as many as I can afford to mail out

I saw your post in the coupons section and it sounded FUN! - but since we're only planning one more trip to Vegas in Nov and are pretty set on coupons (except for one), I didn't want to take the ACG from someone who could/would get a lot more use out of it.

But it's a super generous offer and I wanted to let you know that I think this was a great idea! I thought it would be fun to do a Flat Stanley/LolaDoggie type thing. Since your ACG is unused, you may not have gotten to Vegas this year (or not enough clearly!) and so perhaps the Flat version of Lola would have enjoyed some pics in the Bellagio Conservatory, under the lights of the Fremont Street Experience, getting a chocolate cocktail at NYNY, collecting a hand pay on a winning VP royal flush (if only), etc.

To answer your Q's though, even though the ACG should go to someone who would use it: I would have probably given most of the coupons away since we're pretty set for this year's last trip, my favorites are the buffet BOGO's (Red Rock, GVR, Silverton), we don't use everything as that would seem like a full time job in and of itself - but that's what makes the coupon trade section great where you can trade what you don't use for what you would since people have different interests in Vegas. We wouldn't use any outside of Vegas. We go to Vegas since it's only a 4 hour drive for us from L.A.

Anyway, I hope someone who could really use your ACG comes up with a really amazing entry for your fun contest. I threw mine out there to show support because I do think it's a cool idea and really nice of you, even though we don't need the ACG this year. I'll be interested to see some of the entries too!

 

I honestly would not use all the coupons so wouldn't want to deny someone who would the opportunity. I bought the ACG once and ended up giving most away. I would use the Palms freeplay coupon (most likely in a last ditch effort to recoup some losses if my upcoming Sept stay is anything like my May stay. I would also use Dick's Last Resort coupon because hey.....who doesn't enjoy being insulted by the wait staff after being abused by the tables and slots.

I'm far too lazy to write an essay but I will buy you lunch.

I'm glad a few people are seeing the fun side of this contest. I was worried people would see it as de-basing yourself for a $12 coupon book a lot of us already have. I try to keep my giveaways fun because it's Vegas and it should be fun. Some years I'm giving away leftovers. Some years I'm giving away un-used coupons. Some years I know somebody who can use them and I just send them over, no contest. Anyhow, I can't go this year because of renovations at my house. I figured I could still have fun with the coupons even if I wasn't using them. And I do like the idea of somebody enjoying some fine prime rib using my coupons and maybe toasting me while eating.

I got unceremoniously shitcanned from a job I loved after 5 years of loyal service this year. For NO reason. I am saving every penny from my new job for vegas. It will be my only vacation this year. I would definitely put them to good use, although I have never couponed in vegas, I'm game. Did I mention that my favorite doggy is a loladoggie?
