Well, here I am. And against all odds, I managed to actually make a post with little to no complications. I've been following VMB for a few months now and I really enjoy reading it and taking it all in. First Vegas trip coming up in 13 days. I'm super excited as I've been trying to get there for many years! There's some great info here, very helpful. Hi y'all!

Hello, Hope your trip goes well. I dont know what type of guy you are but dont go blowing your bankroll on the airport slots like my friend did years ago. He was so excited like a kid in a nose candy store. Make sure to drink some water too. If you are looking for ladies make sure to bring a prescription of penicillin with you too! Hope you have fun! I am just joking around but the water advice is for real.

Welcome to the board Mickey. Last month made 30 years since my first Vegas and casino experience and I remember it like it just happened. I imagine everyone remembers their first time for several things, and first Vegas trip has to be near the top of the list.

My number one piece of advice is "wear your most comfortable shoes." The second is to learn the games you might play in Vegas BEFORE using real money. Have a terrific trip!

Hahahaha! Thanks for the great info, but I should let you know I am a woman (the name throws people off all the time) and I will be with my husband and 73 year old mother, so definitely won't be looking for the ladies! I do definitely plan on staying well hydrated though. Even at home when I plan to drink a lot I order water and drinks at the same time for the most part. Mama is still very active and gets around good so she'll be a great at babysitting me and the husband. :) All very good tips though. Thanks:)

Thank you! We typically waste some dollars in slot machines if we're visiting a casino- not big gamblers by any stretch of the imagination, but we have several shows and the Grand Canyon planned along with a UFC Fight Tour, so hopefully that will keep me from getting that crazy look in my eye that my husband says I get the minute I hear those slots haha.
