    My Trip Report

Ok, so went back to Vegas last week to take advantage of two offers. First, Cartier event at Wynn, four free nights plus $200 per day food and beverage, and $1,000 Cartier gift certificate. Second, annual Seven Stars trip, four free nights at Caesars, $500 folio credit, and free airfare.

Had a lot of fun, both gambling and non-gambling. But as you will see, this is mainly a gambling trip report, so I'll start with a few non-gambling bullet points to warm up!

    - Arrived Thursday from NYC via United from Newark. Got picked up by the Wynn Rolls Royce Phantom, and the wife was VERY impressed. Lunch/Dinner at the Wynn Buffet, very good!

    - Wynn Sunset Pool during the day on Friday, then dinner at "e" by Jose Andres at Cosmo. Unique and delicious dining experience, highly recommended.

    - Back to the Sunset Pool during the day on Saturday, lunch at Red 8, then dinner at "Giada" (courtesy of Caesar's), which I would say was very good, but not great. Best dish was the pasta.

    - Sunday went to Counts Kustoms. I am a fan of the show, so I enjoyed it. Got the t-shirt, lol. Sunday night my wife went to see Mariah (again), courtesy of Caesars. Seats were 5th row center, and she said it was awesome. After the concert, we walked over to Cosmo to try Secret Pizza. This NY'er loved it, even better than 5/50 at Aria. It was the sauce and high quality toppings that made it.

    - Monday went to the Ferrari showroom at Wynn and gawked at the cars I will one day buy lol. Motivation! Then off to the airport and back home

Ok, now for the gambling. Was planning to be fairly conservative this trip, starting with $2,000 bankroll, which I would bump up to no more than $4,000 if necessary. Thankfully i had good luck off the bat and never needed to withdraw more $$.

I played almost entirely at the Wynn, sticking to 50-cent and dollar Video Poker, playing primarily multi-hand Triple Double Bonus. I decided to lay off the gimmick games this trip and just play straight VP. The first night I hit this of holding one Ace:

After that hit, the machine went cold so I moved to a different machine a tried a little hit and run and the $2 level. It paid off as I hit this pretty quickly:

Boom! Now I was up a good amount, and I was tired from the time difference so went to bed. Next day I went back to my original machine, which turned out to by my ATM this trip. After about 30 minutes, I hit this, again holding just a single Ace!

Went to the pool, dinner, and other activities for the rest of the day, so did not get to resume gambling until late Friday night. Went back to the same machine (All-Star Poker machine near Flintstones slots) and hit the following:

15 minutes later, I hit this. The dealt quads would become a running theme on the trip.

After that awesome hit ( at about 3:30 am), I called it a night. Breakfast at Terrace Pointe the following morning. Told my wife I was going to gamble little before going to the pool and asked how much money I should take. She said $800, so I said ok. Went back to the same machine a blew through the $800 without hitting anything. Went back to my room and told my wife I was taking more money lol. Grabbed $2,000 from the safe and went back to the same machine. A little while later I was dealt three Aces and hit this. I was officially on fire this trip!

Saturday night after Giada, I went back to the same machine but couldn't hit anything. I figured I had drained this machine of everything I could, so I switched to a regular 3/5/10 play machine right outside the high limit slot area. Decided to play $1 5-play TDB, and hit this after a few minutes:

Another dealt quad! My luck couldn't get any better, right? Well 10 minutes later was dealt another 4OK:

Less than an hour later, I was again dealt Jacks, this time on 10-play. This is getting CRAZY.

Machine then went ice cold so I decided to go back to my "ATM" machine near the Flintstones slots and hit this about 45 minutes later, then went up to bed.

Next day, Sunday, breakfast again at Terrace Pointe, then off to Counts Kustoms. I was up a lot and figured my luck could not possibly continue, so my plan was to get through the rest of Sunday without betting too much and then leave on Monday without doing any gambling. I decided to pick an entirely different machine from where I had been playing, so chose a standard 3/5/10 play machine right outside Red 8. Put in only $500 and played $1 5-play TDB. Was able to play on that for a while, but eventually got down pretty low to my last $150. I figured I was pretty much done, pressed deal, and BOOM!!! Four Aces without kicker!!!! Now my luck this trip was officially ridiculous. I half expected to get escorted out by Wynn security. I held my breath and drew for the kickers, and hit TWO out of five to another 5-figure jackpot!

I texted my wife and she came down to meet me at the machine. Played a few minutes more then went to Red 8 for lunch. After lunch I gave my wife some money to play slots. We rolled around on slots for a bit without winning squat. Then my brilliant wife suggested that I redeem my accumulated Red Card point for free slot play, and use it to play more video poker. She went back to room to get ready for Mariah Carey and I used the free play, which as about $260. Now, the icing on the cake. Using the free play I was dealt 3-to-a-Royal, and hit it for another four grand!

I couldn't help but just laugh and shake my head at my good fortune. What a monster trip. Stopped at Cartier and got my wife a necklace using the $1,000 gift certificate plus some of the money I won. Then off to Caesars where I gambled a little while my wife went to the concert. Did not win anything at Caesars. Went to Secret Pizza after the concert (unbelievable pizza), then back to the Wynn. Tomorrow we would have to go home.

Did not do any gambling Monday morning. After breakfast we hit the Ferrari dealership, checked out, then limo to the airport and back to NYC. So much fun and by far my luckiest trip ever. Gotta love Vegas!

Whatever you stepped in on the way to Wynn, hope it's still around on my next trip!

    Awesome wins, WTG!!
